🫢 Awe, they are so patient and cooperative! They should just teach all the orangutans in captivity to brush and floss their own teeth and bathe themselves, since they are such great imitators. However, I’m sure the fruits and veg they eat naturally clean their teeth, and they probably keep clean by staying in the trees off the ground so much. Plus, they generally can’t swim, so bathing is unrealistic and could place them in danger, and they aren’t going to carry toothpaste and toothbrushes🪥 with them. So, my idea is terrible! 😂

I wonder if they could be taught to do this themselves. I mean I’m sure they be taught to run the brush around their mouths like they are playing at it, but I wonder if they could learn to do it in a way that actually helps their dental health.
