Arthur's Joker is the source of all evil and justice stories in Gotham and the most powerful villain of all. And Joker 2 is the best Batman movie, bringing a new interpretation to the Batman series.

Is it too much to ask for? Arthur meets Harley in Arkham Asylum. They fall in love. Harley helps Arthur escape from Arkham. Arthur leads the Joker movement in Gotham and wreaks havoc in the city. The city is in chaos. Harley loves it but she is heartbroken when Arthur reveals he manipulated her to get out of prison. Later Arthur feels sorry for all the death and destruction kind of like Macbeth and ultimately surrenders himself. The Joker fans turn against Arthur and Harley kills Arthur. Then she raises her and Arthur's son to be the person she wanted Arthur to be, to be THE JOKER! Few years later, kid Bruce does a Batman cosplay and Joker does a Joker cosplay. Oh, and the kid has no name. Lee named him just the Joker!

Everyone who hates this movie is so clueless. Betya dont even know The Joker gets shanked at the end of the first issue of Batman? Or that in his next appearance he's shown to be alive in the ambulance 🚑? Arthur could still be The Joker. That's what's great about the film is it still ambiguous like the first film and follows comic source material if you know enough to find it. But all the people hating on it aren't comic fans. They're movie and video game fans. Don't know much about comics or cinema, because if you have a true love of either you'd see what a brilliant piece of art this is.

More knowledge. Timeline- Todd Phillips pitched DC black based on the comic series DC Black label. This would have seen 2019s Joker as the first of several origin stories for Gothams villains. The idea is shot down by the execs and Todd is given a very low budget for one film no one expected to make a billion $'s. After Synderverse and The Batman by Reeves is greenlit they beg Phillips to take creative control. He declines. If you ask me they pretty much handed Reeves his idea and tried to back peddle after 2019 Joker made a billion bucks. I think the film is a brilliant middle finger to WB/DC and pretentious, ignorant, fickle fans .

In the first movie, joker was just a name Murray called him. However, because Arthur made such a statement by killing Murray on TV joker became a symbol of the oppressed and the face of all the lower classes frustrations. However arthur himself said he's not political, joker was never a part of him from his childhood like his lawyer claims, there's no joker personality, he was simply being himself. That's why when he realises that the joker persona is causing unnecessary damage (that one guy getting choked out in prison for one example) he just cuts the bs. If they actually revealed that joker was a separate personality I would be way more mad
