There's nothing bad about this movie. You're just analyzing it way too much. I agree the singing might get redundant sometimes... but the ending compensated everything. I started laughing in sync with the inmate as soon as he said "You get what you fucking deserved". And when he carved that smile on his face using the knife. I just started laughing harder and harder, almost histerically. Joker died in his own law and by his own doctrine. He refused being The Joker when he was recovered by the copycat afterthe bombing. He was just too sensitive to his desire for being with Harley. True psychopaths don't love anybody. Just use everybody else for their own gain and pleasure. Think about that.
@fynnthefox9078Күн бұрын
I agree. It's not a great movie, but it's still a well-made, well-acted film, even if the story contradicts the first movie and leaves you unsatisfied. The musical element could've worked, just change out some songs, cut others, have them forward the plot.

@@BananaPeeler209I liked the movie but I understand where the frustration comes from. One point I can agree with is that the ending of the first movie promises that Arthur has become the Joker. Maybe not the comic book Joker, but he is the Joker nonetheless. But this movie starts and Arthur is back at square zero? We have to build back up to him becoming the Joker again? I know you could make the argument that being locked up there sort of broke his spirit, but that still seems weird. Why not write it in a way that delivers on Arthur having completed his Joker arc from the start?

It's a shame that this movie was banned by Hollywood and Warner. With the first movie there was an attempt at a boycott with the narrative of "don't go to the see Joker 1 because it could be dangerous", and Warner was apathetic about not supporting Joker 1 with more marketing. And now with this movie the pseudo critics and mediocre influencers are saying "Joker 2 is so bad that it's not worth going to see", but it wouldn't be a fucking MCU movie because they are forced to turn off their brains so that Disney keeps inviting them to the premieres. Hypocrisy killed Joker 2's box office. And WB its ok because of his new universe.

Interpretation of that character which is merging of Joker and Arthur after he admits guilt is easily among my all-time favorite adaptations. This Joker's acid bath is that explosion (punctuated by Dent's villain origin also being there). His chemical poisoning is asbestos from the court walls covering him from head to toe and impossible to wash from the skin. But holy crap is the change in mannerisms absolutely sells it. The guy is appropriately desperate, but it's Arthur at his most powerful. He feels at one defeated and liberated, contempt with his fate and role, and everything in-between. I loved the third act and I was never let down by this movie. It's a blast.

Hollywoods obsessions with taking comic properties and slapping any story on them to get people to see it. This isn’t a joker movie. It’s taxi driver with jokers name on it. The penguin show is the same. There’s no reason it should be a Batman property it’s just a sopranos script that they put the penguin in so people would watch it.
@deadseagull-xf3lkАй бұрын
@@knockitoffhudson3470 Dude, Taxi Driver and The Sopranos are two of the biggest properties in the history of entertainment. You're going to tell me that artists aren't going to take inspiration from them? Or filter that influence through the comic book medium? @knockitoffhudson3470Ай бұрын
@ the point is the second one exists because the first one was a success and the first one was successful because it was a writer who wanted to make a movie like taxi driver but also wanted to put jokers name on it so people would see it. And when I say sopranos script I just mean generic mafia script. There’s absolutely nothing about that show that has anything to do with Batman. They just put his name on it so audiences will watch it. I can see why comic fans get annoyed when people take stories they are actually fans of and use the name to promote completely different material.

It wasn’t their faults that this so called “sequel” was God-Awful, too much disturbed, lazy writing, had a terrible ending, and probably the worst film ever! No, I don’t hate it because it’s a musical. It had great music, but terrible Todd Phillips also cut off some scenes and did Arthur Fleck very dirty throughout the film, especially when the Guards raped him in the prison and he got stabbed and killed by an unamed psychopath prisoner, who was also stabbing his own face too at that terrible ending 👎🏽. Should have left the first film (2019) stayed a single. It ended Arthur’s story perfectly. But at least Bradley Cooper didn’t come back to produce the God-Awful, disturbed, terrible ending, lazy writing, so-called “sequel”, because it was very bad (not the music). The scripts was bad and lazy writing. In the words of Deadpool, “God, that’s just lazy writing!”
