Center wobbles in the tailstock, no pre-drilling the holes just use a larger lever to force the drill through, no countersinking before tapping, tapping with way too much speed and no lubrication, forcing these axle ends into the pipe with brute hammering, gluing it together with whatever crooked stick one can find, mandatory weld splatter on the machined part, no more grease on the bearings than the rolls are just sticky....hey what's not to like about it? :)

I feel that this video shows accurately why foreign made parts don't fit. Driving the inner bearing with a sledge hammer just makes my skin crawl, setting the bearings in the dirt prior to assembly is always good practice and definitely don't grease them.

При производстве автомобилей идет точный расчет до микронов, идет расчет сколько надо оборудования, людей высокой квалификации, а тут обычная водопроводная труба и грубая мех обработка и сварка без термообработки. Там где стоит подшипник место должно быть термообработано, а тут ТУК ТУК и готов Сюртук-))) Во время войны может быть и так наши деды и выпускали продукцию, там было чем проще тем лучше

Прям уж до микронов, ещё до нанометров скажите. Сотки максимум. Посадки под подшипник на оси не термообрабатываются. Сталь на осях зачастую низкоуглеродистая, её калить бесполезно. Занимаюсь ремонтом грузовой техники уже 9лет. Про сварку вообще молчу, оси прекрасно варятся без всяких дополнительных манипуляций, даже на заводе.

Почему нет соосности? Деталь обрабатывается за одну установку - это дает максимальную соосность. Грязь и стружка тут причем? Да тут не высокотехнологичное производство, не ЧПУ станки и полы не в белом кафеле. Гаражные условия так сказать. Насчет размеров не соглашусь. Все делается по шаблонам. Когда токарь точил ось - на задней бабке висела обойма от ступичного подшипника, он ей в качестве калибра пользовался при проточке посадочных мест. Отверстия для шпилек тоже по шаблону из колесного диска сверлят. Мы несколько раз восстанавливали посадочные места на ступицах, точно также. Из убитого диска вырезали и использовали как шаблон. Никаких несоосностей и размеров на глаз.

Может быть эффект из-за камеры. И видео отзеркалено. А левая резьба часто встречается на осях грузовиков. С левой стороны - левая, а с правой - правая.

Just because something looks like an axis does not mean it is one. I have no idea where to mount the scrap you showed in the video. Maybe it will hold up in a small trailer, but why would you need something that big in a small trailer.

Tengo mis dudas de la calidad del acero empleado ,el trabajo de maquinado se ve bueno y la soldadura la considero buena , pero los ejes se observa que son fundidos en algun horno antiguo y probablemente no tienen las aleaciones adecuadas para la carga en que se aplican en los camiones de uso pesado asimismo del templado una vez maquinado.

There alinement between the hub and axle housing is suspect they rotated it and the entire axle rotation was crooked but still they went ahead and welded the hub to the axle housing you should be just a little concerned if you ordered a complete replacement rear axle

The shaft material, heat treatment, and strength are questionable. Does the center of the axis fit properly without an indicator? That's great technology.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a dead center running out like that. A live center in a three jaw, maybe, but dead center in a four jaw, nope. Just fine.

I never saw any outer bearing cones installed in the hubs. No lubricant on the wheel seal running surface. Both wheel bearings looked like they were covered in dust and grit and were never packed with wheel bearing grease. The entire operation was a massive cluster f**k.

На европейских фурах оси прицепов пустотелые , возят по 20 тонн , по норме . Видел как на такие грузили и по 50 , ничего , нормально . В интернете есть водосы как китайцы по 220 тонн на прицепах возят , там точно оси цельнометаллические .

I've built, repaired, and even assisted in Engineering some drive shafts for extreme conditions. Never, NEVER, ever have I ever seen a solid shaft axle. Every single axle I've ever been part of, from small to extreme, and everything in between, have been welded tubing. Anything more is way to heavy and way over engineered. Assuming axles are solid is absolutely ridiculous and shows your lack of knowledge on the subject.
