Vollerings team is not really a team. they seem to resent Vollering.

if the entire doesn't back their leader, the team isn't the problem, it's the leader.

This is utter bullshit! This was a recuperation day for Demi, so, nothing spectacular is happening for the SDW team. It's clear they have a plan for the next two days. The whole team is saving its strength.

@@eyenoball Cycling is a team sport. There's a Team Manager that chose the leader of the team for the Tour. It's the Managers job to make sure the team supports the leader, it is not the leader's job.

The team left her to die yesterday, almost certainly following instructions from the DS, dont forget, van der breggen is in that car and back racing next year, while vollering is leaving..............join the dots

What truly awful commentators with the hysterical delivery. Where did the channel get them from?

Makes me not want to watch women's cycling. They need fans.

And it is Ker-Ba-Ol! Not Kerbaul! Shame on you, commentators. Is it really that hard to do your homework?

Who is the female commentator?
@eyenoball2 ай бұрын
that's Dani Christmas, retired pro cyclist formerly from the drops-le col team and currently one of the DSes for canyon/sram (though obviously not for this race)

I'm still waiting for the "Amazing!" part of this video... is there a Part 2? The "victory" looked pretty banal to me.

Riding in a breakaway, turning yourself inside out to maintain a gap? That is a huge effort! She attacked with about 15 km to go, got a gap, and kept it. May look boring, but maybe not!
@Big_Island_Boi2 ай бұрын
@@danmc7815 Meh. Not really. It simply showcases the lack of real talent and competition in the women's "pro" peloton.
@danmc78152 ай бұрын
@Big_Island_Boi I disagree with any breakaway win not being a big deal. But, yes, the Women's Pro Peleton is nowhere near as competitive as the Men's, nor as entertaining. Also, it does seem to have more breakaway winners However, anyone who can ride one in, either has just better legs, or, saw an opportunity and went for it with some guts. You have to be ready to bury yourself to be able win that way. The sad irony of women's sports is that one big reason they are not as successful, too few women support them. As a cyclist, I know lots of women who ride, maybe one of those could have named a woman in the Pro Peleton a month ago. More now could name probably name Kristen Faulkner, but I think only one could name five of those women from memory. Until women support women in sports women's sports fail.

Lots of solo victories in women’s racing as they can’t seem to organise a chase.

Strange thing to say after all the sprint victories up to now. This stage was considered 50:50 breakaway or sprint, and the narrow gap reflects this. It was overall not super difficult but the stage profile made it possible to try a breakaway late and if you time it right they won't catch you on the uphill finish.

do you not remember stage 1 of the tour this year? Same thing happened
