That's not true. They would place the bolt into the wet concrete, and people still do that today. Plus, they had wedge and nylon anchors along with other ways. There were many techniques and options. I worked on many old buildings, and it varies. This technique is a hack or for the third world countries.

Контент с подобными очевидными "примудростями" Есть на любом языке (условно для любых стран) - и это не значит что это что то отсталое, пережитки прошлого, и какой то регресс. Возможно для вас это через чур архаично, но по факту тут показан выход из ситуации когда у тебя например пара отверстий, а магазин с дюбелями за 50 км, или даже не за 50 км, а тупо нет времени или резона гнать за двумя пластмассками.

For a temporary fix, maybe. The wood dowel cracked the concrete, if you watched closely. The wood in the hole will eventually rot out and leave the screws loose. The untreated lumber against the concrete with no barrier will quicken the demise of this construction project. Why no j-bolts I'mbedded in the concrete when it was poured? If this is an afterthought then a more simple solution would be Tapcon screws, or a .22 powered nail gun. Wood against concrete with no barrier is a bad idea for numerous reasons. Moisture, mold, dry rot as the concrete pulls the moisture out of the wood. termites, rust and corrosion... A few years down the road this temporary fix will fail.

In Germany we always would use „expansion dowels“ - do you call it Like that? Made from plastic, different models for different purposes. They are cheap and work great!

Concrete doesn't fully set till like 30 some years so the wood rots and the screw isn't galvanized so it will rust.

Если я сделаю деревянный дюбель из березы тополя осины и загоню как положено с обсадкрй, твойпластиковый и рядом не валялся. Япластиковые не использую где нужна надежность. Еслитолько в бетон распорные металлические, ав кирпич и пенобетон только развожу бокситку добавляю мелкий песок, окунаю резьбовую шпильку и запихиваю в отверстие, предворительнонапихав туда тоже бокситки.

Это и есть дюбель... деревянный. Вполне рабочий вариант решения задачи... Наиболее продвинутые специалисты для надежности еще и обмазывают клинышек клеем. Клей годится любой, но желательно не на водной основе.

Use cedar or cypress it will never rot and the screw compresses into the masonry, it won't come loose. I wouldn't anchor a wall to a foundation like this lol but it does have some uses.

Concrete is acidic. Over time that wood would rot. That’s why base studs are bolted directly onto concrete. Or use a dedicated drywall anchor bolt

@@litoaykiu Whenever wood sills are bolted to concrete bases which touch soil, you need a vapor/moisture barrier like tar paper or plastic sheeting so that moisture doesn't "wick" up into the wood and start mold and rot.

С таким деревянным чёпиком мы скатимся в шестидесятые годы. Сгниёт и нет крепления. Но на крайний случай годится. Тогда ещё старый лайфхак. Скарпелем выдолбить углубление, на шуруп по резьбе намотать железную проволоку и вмазать на алебастр. Чуть прихватит, шуруп выкрутить. После высыхания вполне долговечное крепление.Скоро вернёмся к старым мотажным методам. Не забывать, что новое, хорошо забытое старое, которое лучше не забывать.
