Hi Sumner, thanks for this. Your Udemy classes have helped a lot too! Is Amazon Attribution currently the best (or only?) tool to track how many of my Amazon sales came from my influencers? Or are there others tools that you would recommend, maybe some that would automate the payment of commissions as well?

Hi Elwyn! So far this is currently the best tool though I believe 3rd party softwares in the near future will have a monthly service where you can pay to create attribution links in bulk and distribute payments. You can create a unique attribution link for each influencer and then have a VA check each link 1X per month and distribute accordingly. All the data of payment info, name, total sales, attribution bonus, etc. can be tracked in Google Sheets. If anything changes I'll be making an update video.

Hi Martina! For any sitelinks, promotional links, etc. you can create a specific line item for each.

Great to hear Paul! And depends on how granular you want to get but ideally - yes. You would have single keyword campaigns especially for higher volume or more broadly related keywords and track spend compared to sales tracked in attribution.

Thanks for the great tutorial! Why then choose all variations if you specify a link to a specific variation in the Click Through URL? How does this work at all? Because Google Ads doesn't see our products on Amazon, we set up our own creative there. Maybe it makes sense to link to Store?

Hi Ivan! You only link to one product BUT if the Amazon customer ends up choosing another one of your products to purchase, it gets tracked. If you only tracked one product and a shopper purchases another then that wouldn't be attributed if that makes sense.

Hi! Are these ads directing to Amazon or the brand's website? As sellers, we aren't able to run Google Shopping ads to our product listings but if you have a Shopify, WooCommerce, etc. website you are able to create a Google Merchant account, upload a product feed, and then connect to your Google Ads account and run Shopping ads which tend to outperform search.

I believe using a bit.ly link that directs to your attribution url should be fine.

Yes. The more segmented out the better you can pinpoint and track results.

Thanks for a great tutorial! Always easy to follow. I am trying to input the tag I created for Pinterest into my ad and it keeps saying I have characters not allowed. There is the destination URL and the tracking that they have space for. I have tried it several ways and it keeps rejecting the tag url. Any idea how to add it to my ad on Pinterest? Also, if the person who clicks my link, bringing them to Amazon, buys something else on Amazon, do I get a percentage of sale for bringing traffic to Amazon? If so where is that tracked? Thanks!

Hey Jonathan! Yea, I'm not sure why you can't select "KZbin" as an attribution source. Haven't heard anything about this specifically but even though you can't create an attribution tag for KZbin specifically it's still a good idea to include links in KZbin videos to your Amazon PDPs even if they're your own videos as KZbin has high domain authority.

Meaning if a users sees the ads and clicks through but makes purchase after a week, will that be recorded? Thank you!

Hey Hassan! Create an attribution link anywhere you are sending traffic to your Amazon listing (Google Ads, Pinterest content, Email broadcast, press release, etc.)
