This is bullshit, amazon has no right to block sideloading, we purchased their devices and that means we own them and can do anything we want with them, if I felt like smashing mine with a hammer, then I can do that, never mind the feeble excuse that they have to " subsidize " their devices because they don't make money on the devices themselves due to the " cheap price " that's their problem, not ours, if amazon does this I will destroy all 5 of the firesticks that I have purchased from them and that I own, and I will cancel my amazon account too, we don't need them, yes you can find just about anything on amazon and get it right away, but does that mean we all have to bend over for that ? No way ! Give me back the time when you had to go to a store to buy things, or order something from a retailer and wait a couple weeks for delivery, everything is better when you have to work for it

It just seems like many people don't want me to watch tv or pay like cable. I only bought Firestick to watch what I wanted and not pay cable fees. Well, they're going to do what they want and I'll put my device in the scrap pile. For some strange reason it's thought I must watch tv. That's not true. Rhey have already made my favorite programs pay only and allow old movies. I can read or watch my CD's. I'm against people controlling others. T.v. not watched means they get no revenue. We can cut all their revenue. They don't know we are the market and don't have to kiss their arses. "What's in yiur wallet?" This is kind of a non issue. Let me explain. Have a Roku. Have a fire cube. Have a phone that can mirror to HDTV. Have a fire stick Max. Have a Walmart android tv. Plug in the one I want or all of them and switch to the one I want. -- you can always get a android tv. Plus if Amazon blocks sideloads the used market gets flooded with low priced devices and kills the new device sales.

Hi doc, just wanted you to know that when I go to Downloader and connect to your site, some things are being blocked, but not with the on screen message presented in this video, I went to tutorials and selected plex, then navigated to the green download button and clicked it, but nothing happened, I also went to another site which I'm sure you know and again tried to get plex, but the vertical bar in the download process just didn't move, also my firestick 4k started powering off and on several times, and I had to disconnect everything and then reconnect everything just to get my stick to boot up and stay on the home screen, after that the problem with the downloading is still there, everything else working, is this some sort of temporary issue or is amazon doing this to me ? USA, land of the free ? I'm on the verge of canceling my prime account, please let me know what you think, thank you

These amazon tv devices are not sold, or supported in my country (New Zealand). You can run them with a VPN set on a supported country, but not worth the effort in my opinion. Add the stingy storage they give, & stuff like this happening along with other limitations,... I will never buy one, and have never wanted to. This is a dangerous control mechanism, and it is I fear, just the beginning.
