Nice, clean one owner ready for craigslist 😁 I had one of these and I’m not surprised it survived your “tests”. Amazingly capable bike. The engine is by far the best part of the bike and will long outlive the rest of the bike. It’s the weak suspension, loose bolts, soft metal frame and crappy wheels that will be the death of the bike. That said. When it’s all said and done you will have a perfectly fine engine ready for a donor frame Don’t buy this bike if you don’t know how or don’t want to learn how to work on bikes!!! It NEEDS someone who can trouble shoot and fix Only buy this bike if you like to tinker and are on a budget.

Peter Fonda rode one of these in Easy Rider. It was customized, but was the same Hawk model. Steve McQueen also rode one of these in the Great Escape. Kinda takes the sails out of Chinese quality bashers.....

I had a cheap China dirt bike as a kid. Apollo 007 125cc. (Dirt bike so no lights, battery, starter...) It had the bigger wheels so it felt like a normal bike. I was able to get UpTo 60mph on it. It was abused, I fell into a pond. With it. Fluid change and blow out the water and it was back in business. People would make fun of it for being a little 125cc and a China bike. But, when they took it for a ride. Only smiles. It was a great bike. That 125cc motor had just enough power. You could pull a wheelie if you wanted. And the taller wheels gave it a higher top speed (for a dirt bike 60mph is plenty fast).

You don't know what your missing, like do you go to demolition derbys and stand there like the native American in the old littering commercials, shed a tear and go "why". Its really not that serious. But when people start saying things like "I hate these guys, how stupid" or worse, like really? One of my least favorite qualities in a person is when they criticize a person or only focus on what they feel is negative without even acknowledging the good people do. Really enjoyed this episode of you guys trashing the bike, although my heart sank. Really is a tough bike. Enjoyed watching your series of Bikes and Beards. Love the scripture verses and prayers Shaun gives to the buyers. Hope you guys have good sales this year.

I bought one of these for my Son about a year ago,Fully assembled shipped to my door. After Changing the Carb, rear sprocket and exhaust. It will do 60 mph on Level highway. Its a great bike for a new rider to learn on.

14 hp seems like kind of a lot of power, considering the mb200 full suspension minibikes are only 6.5 hp and do 40 mph right out of the box

Interesting but the question for me would be long-term durability rather than short-term damage. Will the frame rust inside out after a few years of daily riding? Can the electronics handle salted roads in the winter? Will the fork seals last more than a year?

I think the exact opposite, i can find every single part for my titan 250 (the more dirtbike version of the hawk). i legit could build this entire bike off of parts on the internet

I love my Hawk! & I have 2 of them. Both 2020 X-pro's (carburetor)-if you enjoy working on or modifying your own machines in a fun way (not a broken down kinda way) for cheap and don't have plans to race off table tops at 70mph while doing back flips and superman's this is a fantastic bike! I am an enthusiast and also have Japanese bikes (Honda & Kawi)-the Hawk is not a Japanese bike, nor does it claim to be; it also costs $1499 compared to $5k+. It is a fun commuter/trail rider that is very reliable if assembled properly. Love the hardest test of all!!! I agree, even the mighty Hawk couldn't stand at the DNC :-)

What would THAT video look like? "We bought a cheap bike and gave it away". This is an entertainment video and you wouldn't get as many views (or have as much fun). They actually do have a video of giving a bike away (if you're in to that kind of thing). These are basically good guys who have fun with motorcycles.
