@@bassman0704 That's how I did Walmart when I got injured on the clock. They screwed me out of comp, didn't pay my medical bills. I immediately contacted a lawyer that specialized in worker claims to learn what my options were and the the steps to burn their asses. After getting an attorney to accept my case, that's when the harassment from Walmart reps and HR began. Instead of contacting my attorney that I hired, they'd call and tell me that I had no case and that I should just drop it, take my loss and move on. I even had an "company attorney", contact me with threats of him and Walmart tieing up my case for years and years in the courts with continuations and loop holes within my home state's laws, to get me to give up my case. I would always give them my attorney's number, which they damn well already had and politely tell them to contact my attorney. I always had the feeling that I was being recorded when these people would call and I most likely was. In the end I burned their asses. They ended up paying all my medical bills, which was thousands. Ended up paying me for the time off in full and I was awarded more money for the shit they put me through.

Worked in multiple warehouses in the past six years, one of them the number of accidents happens almost daily. I thought nothing of it until I worked in that distribution center for nearly all of the stores you see. Upon my first week I was shocked at the sheer amount of improperly palletized pallets, many are highly unstable being stacked 3 at a time. Furthermore I was expecting them to train us to any degree, it never happened. When working it is not ucommon to try to avoid a pallet stacked to high from falling ontop of you and killing you. I brought this up to my lead and all they say is to bail when that happens. I never felt so unsafe at a job and glad I quit after weeks of anxiety and constant paranoia.

I work at a local grocery store and our corporate overlords are just as bad. After the company went corporate owned and expanded to south east regional they decided that allowing unions was out of the question so the hourly associates were left pretty near defenseless against ilegal company practice. My store is routinely understaffed in order to cut operational costs padding the bottom line for the shareholders. According to corporate policy we are supposed to have four baggers/customer service clerks at all times so that there are two bagging, getting carts and doing customer carryouts and two filling milk, eggs, sugar and water. Instead only one bagger will be scheduled for a shift and expected to keep everything covered by themselves and when we get behind on any task are immediately scolded by the front office managers and told to keep everything done or be written up. After three consecutive writeups its instant termination but management doesn't fire you they simply list you as permanently suspended which leaves you technically employed and permanently ineligible for unemployment benefits. On the job injuries have to be reported but its up to management to determine if treatment under workmans comp is allowed. More often than not employees who are injured on the job end up being "fired" for safety violations that they never committed. Because of this injuries often go unreported and untreated. We are seriously overworked and have an extremely high overturn rate, stats suggest for everyone hired three people will leave almost immediately and management can't figure out why they can't keep people.

I have a cousin that used to work at a Walmart Distribution center(aka The DC). He said they worked 16-18 hr days during seasonal times and was only allowed 1 30min lunch break, and because the break room was at the other side of the plant(you were lucky to get 15min). They timed you from the moment you walked away from your working position, NOT from where a time clock would be(at a normal place). If you called out even 1 day during the season time, even if you went to the hospital for a legit reason(pancreatic), you better have a vacation day to take or they have these points called occurrences(you are allowed 4). You use the vacation day or are out of occurances, you are fired. You can be their top employee for 5yrs straight, you go to the hospital for no fault of your own(nor was it worker's comp) and you don't have anything to cover your ass...no one in H.R. will cover your ass either. They complain about china or Indonesia having sweat shops, they don't have nothing on America. You get paid, but if you die from your job because you are so over worked and treated like a number, it's not worth it in the end. Companies like that just hire another hopeful person, and break them down, knowing that they can't leave that job because of the pay/location/only job available, it's sickening. These companies know what they are doing. I am just glad my cousin made it out of there. He is at a better warehouse job that he finally made supervisor at and pays good, better conditions, but hours are still crazy(swing shifts). He is happy there. Not everyone has a happy ending. Amazon does just enough to make sure you are "ok" after an accident while doing EVERYTHING in their power to make it "not their fault". I worked on the dock at my FC in Texas (the largest FC in the country) and was checking on my crew of trailer unloaders in a trailer on a day that it was raining very hard to let them know they yard was closed due to lightning and we were not getting any more trailers for a bit. As I turned around, the wall of boxes fell right on top of me, severely injuring my left shoulder. Went to on-site medics, all they did was put Biofreeze on it, HR said I should have been "more careful unloading the truck"...which I wasn't even doing, and that I was "ok" to go right back to work despite not being able to lift me arm over my shoulder at all! I filed a complaint against HR and had them pull the video to prove all I did was walk into the trailer, was there for 30 seconds, and was hit by falling boxes as I turned to walk out. I didn't touch a single box. Amazon STILL didn't do anything to help pay for my injury because "anyone could get hit by falling boxes." Literally...that was their defense. At that point, I was DONE with Amazon. I did the absolute bare minimum of work every day from that point on until I quit May 2019.

If you work were a nail gun or a staple gun is used. Check out the nails or Staples on the side and if there is a blue red or another colored strip across the side of the nails do not attempt to pull it out. It is friction epoxy that welds it to the side of whatever it's used on from the heat created by penetrating the material.

I remember when I first started at Amazon I walked out of the bathroom and a guy confronted me and he said that if you enter the bathroom while the light is illuminated red that's also an automatic termination. The bathrooms have little lights on top. Green means it's ok to go in, yellow means the bathroom needs attention and red means not to enter. If you enter the bathroom while the light is red you could be faced with termination.

I just lost my temporary job at Amazon after being promoted the week prior. I was very upset about the timing obviously, but understood it could happen. They auto-dial white badges (temp) for termination to hit quotas per warehouse. Very frustrating as I was told over and over I was safe, I was even promoted! That being said, these conditions detailed from the fulfillment centers in your videos are upsetting. At the sort centers, we could take bathroom breaks and water breaks as much and as often as needed. Safety was a huge focus as well. If boxes got too high we were encouraged to hit the green safety light and were actually "scolded" if our safety lights weren't being used the appropriate amount compared to our package volume.

I am from Philly and I did fall down the art museum steps that rocky ran up because I got distracted by an amazon van cutting off another car almost causing an accident making a loud noise from all of the horn honking and screaming causing me to fall down those steps so that indeed was amazons fault

I experienced on the warehouse level how bad things can be as I call it ,AmaZOO I started in 2013 as a tier 1 and worked my way up. The further I climbed the better I saw how bad the conditions were for myself and associates. I quit and took the buy out offer after 5 1/2 years. I experienced a fire on the receiving line converter belt and had all my associates as their leader evacuate the area for their safety. Well safety came to the scene I was disciplined for stoping production. I explain an associate pant leg was on fire. Still nothing. I called facilities down and explained what happened and they state they saw why the fire happened but I was told all funding was cut and my department was not a priority. I stated wtf and they were very apologetic that there was nothing they could do to keep my associates save. Also, we were made, with the threat Of firing if we did not get in truck for receiving when the temperature was below freezing. My associates were slipping and sliding all around the truck and hanging on the conveyor belt that was the fire issue before. We also were made to unload trucks in the summer with a soft top, the temperature reached 105 and I checked the trucks hourly in the summer to keep my associates safe. I was told by health and safety just alternate your people out of the truck. This was not a solution since water breaks were few and far between for the associates and for myself as a leader of the team. I will close with, temperature checks are done by a good leader hourly in the summer regarding the inside temp of a truck but nothing is required in the winter. NOTHING.

Makes me glad I work for USPS, their package processing rate is fairly reasonable (425 PPH) and even though it's not air-conditioned everyone's encouraged to stay hydrated in the summer.. .Apparently Amazon has never heard of being able to drink on the floor???
