Woah what is it with the matching heights I'm also 5'11.5 but I'm a little on the heavier side I weigh 200 lbs and a large fit me perfectly.

@@ambrose6879 I went from the small, to the medium, and then back to the small, when deciding which one to keep and I'm similar height, The small is snug fit, and I can see how if you have a large torso you'd probably need to size up to the medium

Great review! Was yours in navy, dark grey, or black? I noticed inside it looked more like a dark grey, whereas outside it looked navy in colour. Appreciate your thorough review!

I was out in the rain with it once and it does repell the water... to a point. Definitely would take my patagonia rain shell over this in the rain. I think after about an hour you'd be wearing a wet jacket.

At least being synthetic, even after it got wet it'd be insulating at least a little.

I'm around the same height as you, and just ordered the small version based on what you said (I usually take medium everything) and it seems rather too small. I've just gone back on Amazon and ordered the medium. I guess I should have ordered both at the same time. One odd thing though, the zip is on the wrong side.......

@@IdRatherBeHiking Just had the medium delivered, and trying both on, and researching how these things are supposed to fit, I think I've come to the conclusion that it's the small that fits me best after all. You were correct. I got a good deal on it too. I paid £26.24, which is about $33US. A lot of the colour options were out of stock though, and I had to go for my second choice.

Uh oh, I just ordered a large when I usually wear a medium jacket or shirt so I could put it over other layers. Hope the large isn't MASSIVE hahah. Nice video though, thanks. :)

Have you tried this out in a proper winter? 30f/-1C? I'm deciding between Eddie Bauer Cirruslite and I can't find a review where everything isn't GREEN! :D

Ya I've tried it out in the mountains in the cold keeps me warm, getting lower than -10c i layer up with a shell.

I've got the non-hooded one, had it about a year, been using it in 30 to 50 degree weather. Was walking in 30F last weekend, it kept me warm, though maybe if I just stood still at those temps for very long I might get chilly. It's been good and still 100% unripped, zipper still works perfect etc though it's not gotten any serious use, just a few dozen miles walking, once or twice in the woods. I'm going to buy the hooded one for longer/overnight hikes
