When working with cheaper full cover nail tips you can put a thin layer of builder gel p it will make them stronger and stop cracking issue especially after you put the layers of gel polish color and topcoat.

Nail application starts around 5:50 mark Although if you’re completely new to this method, I recommend listening to beginning. The steps are easy, especially for beginners. This kit seems to have been holding up VERY well. It’s the best I’ve tried so far. Linked in description box.

You should try the young nails protein bond. I had the same problem with gel peeling off and now my nails stay on until I want to remove them!

Just a heads-up, instead of etching the inside of each tip, you can just paint the inside with primer. I’ve never etched but always use primer and my tips stay on for at least a month; probably would stay longer but after a few fill-ins, I’m usually ready to do a fresh set by then. 😅 Hope this helps. 🙂

Is dehydrator same as primer?

@@marianalopez3132 My understanding is that dehydrator removes oil and moisture from the nail surface (which improves product adhesion), while primer provides stickiness for better adhesion. So they both improve adhesion, but in different ways.

If I were to just get the tips set could I use normal polish instead of gel? Could I paint and obviously let dry then use the gel to secure it or do I have to use the gel and lamp first then paint? Does that make any sense?

You could paint your nails ahead of time, like press on nails or after you apply nails. The lamp is mainly for adhesion or curing gel polish, you don’t need it for normal polish.

If using gel to adhere it to the nail polish is the last step gel does not cure if anything is on it that's coloured as the UV or LED lights can not penertrate through opaque things so the method of pre painting first will only work if youre using a bead of acrylic to adhere it or normal nail glue

She’s done a fine review here, but I just want to clarify that while “nail forms” ARE a thing, these aren’t that, these are (full cover) nail *tips*. It could be confusing if you’re looking for or asking for nail forms, they’re typically made of paper and are used very differently. Then there are “dual forms”, another way to achieve nail enhancements, but still different than what’s being shown here. I hope that helps.

@@gemlady521 i didnt even hear her call them nail forms. Those are def not nail forms. I just bought this kit. I normally do my nails the traditional way with either naip forms or tips. Because idk I feel like these arent gonna stay on as good for some reason. But I am however gonna use acrylic to build them up stronger. Im really into nails so I have a few pairs of the tip cutters. But she probably just used regular nail clippers or scissors. And u can use either of them its fine. Im just more on a professional level so I have everything thats needed for nails and nail art.
