(Get ready to cringe) You’ve influenced me a ton!!! I found you here about 4-5 years ago. I had never tried gel polish at that time & also had never gone to a nail salon. I gave myself manicures at home-including repairing cracks/tears with Kleenex & super glue. I had a lady do my nails in her home where I met gel polish and silk wraps. After 6 months I decided I could do them myself at home, save $$ and not have to worry about appointments. You have taught me about structure gel, paper forms, E-files, and so much more that I have purchased because I watched you use it. I’ve been doing my own natural nails at home now for 3 years. I don’t have tears anymore because the gel keeps them so strong! I haven’t tried any nail art yet because I just don’t have that flair. But I enjoy watching you create nails, and makeup. The best trick for curing large decorations to your own nails: a UV torch and an old jelly stamper pad. Put the stamper on the torch, press to your nail as if you were putting down a stamping design then turn on the torch for a flash cure. It presses down larger glitter like snowflakes easily

Another great tip use saran wrap around the nail for a flash cure then remove it. It does leave small indents which are easily rectified with a thin coat of builder gel. 💅

I have the same builder gel and noticed that the inhibition layer was super sticky as well, so instead of trying to get it all off, I use the top coat that came with it (I ordered the builder base and top coat set) and it's a no wipe top so if i needed to file or shape I did so after topping, and after achieving the shape I wanted, top again (lol obviously!!). Just a tip! Made my life so much easier haha and a whole lot less sticky 😆!!! This set turned out so pretty! Very wintery, sparkly, icy feels! Love them! Congrats on ten years!!! 🎉 🥂

Dip powder and base coat, better ways to put on tips, hallowe’en decorations, and just now, using a buffer to remove a super sticky inhibition layer. I’ve been using this builder for a while. If you don’t use it to encapsulate, it can last for a while. I applied tips to my sisters with base gel and built her nail out with using just this builder gel and have used it for fills for 2 months with no lifting. I’ve been going for about a month for my own nails and using it to fill as well. It’s the only way I’m doing my nails now. Also this nail look you did was super pretty.

Do you use the tips like she did or do you use the gel x nail tips (full nail tip)? I just got them and had an issue of a few lifting after two weeks. So I’m trying to better that also, but also wondering if I can use it with tips and create gel nails like the ones I get done by my nail technician which is acrylic and lasts me 4-5 weeks. Try the cling film method for sticking out sequins. Before curing hold a piece of cling film (Saran wrap?.) over the nail to make them conform to the nail shape

I bought that multi pack in the nude colors and the heat spike was so intense I couldn't take it, another creator on you tube had said that it was bad and I thought oh your doing something wrong or exaggerating, no she was not! Then I got the same brand in clear but the hema free version that comes with a top coat and builder gel and had zero heat spike issues so I think it's just those nude ones. This set is gorgeous!

I’ve been using the Aimeili builder gels for 12 months now and I swear by them! So easy to use and such great outcomes too. I have the pale set as well - they’re all much of a muchness, some more pinky some more peachy, but really they’re all extremely sheer and all kinda do the same thing in my opinion. I’d be really keen to try builder gels that are more opaque so I can just use them on their own without using a gel colour on top! If anyone has any recommendations of some I can get in Australia I’d love to know!

I don't know for sure if they deliver to Australia but igel beauty has some really good builder gels that are very reasonably priced, and are opaque enough you don't need to paint on top of. I hope they deliver to Australia!

I have the clear Gelish builder gel by your recommendation. I recently tried IBD cover pink builder in a bottle but have found it tends to lift around my cuticles (doesn't break or come off tho) after about 10 days even with primer but I have a feeling I was being a bit sloppy with my prep. It's pretty thick so would probably work well with paper forms.

I also use ibd pink builder. It is super thick. I have to use caution when using it or it floods the cuticle but my nails go no where! My experience with it is novice at best but my nails stayed on with little lifting for 3 weeks!

I use a 50/50 mix of alcohol and acetone to clean after hard gel application. Much better for clearing an overly sticky inhibition layer. Then u can file off any white the acetone may leave. Way faster.

If you get heat spikes you can start w/ your hand slightly near the lamp, then put it in. The heat spikes are b/c it's curing super fast (moleculs vibrating). Some lamps come with a lower brightness setting (I bought a SUN lamp off Shein for less than $20, but I think it's a bit more expensive now)
