Thank you very much ken for this video. Your videos are always helpful. Funny story, I was doing research last week, and came across wall pilates also. I was very conflicted on whether I should publish or not, I mean the books in first page has good bsr, th search results isn't that high, the saturation was what made me confused also. Plus I also noticed most of the books that are selling there are those running ads or those that already dominated the place with 2-3books, that was why I decided to let it go. I'm so excited I saw it here honestly 😅. Thank you ken. Love from Nigeria

My first book I've made a few thousand in royalties but only breakeven with ads. I thought my second book would do much better because I thought I found a winning topic/keyword but it tanked. Just found your channel so I'm going to use this method with those books/keywords and see what kind of score I get. I'll probably use this method for my next book and hopefully it works out better. I think my first book will do better this year because I have my ads for it dialed in better and it has some ratings.

A bit confused between 2 metrics - number of exact matches on Page 1, and Saturation - where we start seeing books on other topics. Understood the logic behind Saturation. But why are Exact matches important? Both these metrics seem to suggesting opposite things. What is the ideal point where we want exact matches - not too many and not too less?

Exact matches just means the data is accurate. Like the books are most likely selling from that search term. Otherwise people find generic topics, and the books aren’t super related, they just happen to be ranking underneath the search easiest. Is that data accurate to the book topic we are seeing? And pages of books are just telling us that there aren’t too many of these directly related books, so it’s realistic that we can compete. The simple formula is a keyword that is specific, books actually related to that keyword under the search results so we know the data is accurate ( and we aren’t looking at data for different books) then limited pages of these books to ensure the keyword isn’t just super saturated. I hope this makes sense! We always want the books to be as relevant to the search term as possible so we can accurately predict how our book will do.

I found a keyword with good search volume (over 3,000), low search results and low saturation, to the point that the actual keyword itself is in none of the titles I'm seeing, I'm searching under the Kindle store, could it be that KDP publishers are typing this keyword in too and that's why the search volume is so high?

I always check books, not kindle store. It’s tough to say with stuff like this, usually if there isn’t a clear connection between the books there and the search term it’s not worth your time because there is no guarantee you’ll sell book. Look and see what the books are actually about and search those up!

They might do it. I didn’t mention any because I don’t currently know it a free tool. KDSPY should be easy to view if it’s there, and publisher rocket might be on the dashboard on Amazon when you look up a keyword!
