Funny how Amber perjured herself by lying about the beginning of their relationship, her testimony is the opposite of what she said last time too. Last case she says the abuse happened months in, now suddenly it's from the beginning? The moments of abuse she alleges don't even match up at all.
@blue-calla2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I think you’re referring to the trailer park incident where her story started out as JD only destroyed the trailer, then she added him threatening the friend, and now she added the cavity search, lol. Also, in looking back at her UK depo, when she testified about the incident where she punched JD (“you didn’t get punched; you got hit”), then he hid out in the bathroom, then she tried getting in and scraped her toes then kicked the door into his head - I noticed she told 2 diff versions of this story within minutes of each other, and neither were the truth. First she said she was in a room that JD was trying to get in; then she said she & JD were in a room together that she was trying to escape. Meanwhile, she was on audio from years prior, admitting to the truth. Lol. I wonder which version she’ll tell today.

The thing that really gets me is she's describing his addiction as if that in & of itself constitutes abuse. Very consistent with her having personality disorders, tho.

As someone who has worked very hard to properly deal with my BPD I feel like her explaining a lot of the instances especially the Australia part, felt more like her emotional reactivity needing to match what happened. Growing up I did this a lot, I would feel very wronged and hurt but feel like no one heard or understood how strongly I felt I was wronged so I would lie about things to have the story match my emotions since I was unable to admit that my illness was causing these feelings not reality. (It’s not easy to admit that you have done things in the past that has hurt others but to stop the stigma that people with personality disorders are just bad people we need to talk about why it happens and how to help others with it.)Bringing it back to Amber’s testimony- the stories I would tell sound very similar to hers which leads me to think that she was very hurt and offended by everything that happened in Australia and she reacted very aggressively and for that level of aggression she needed to come up with a story to justify it because people with cluster b disorders also have a very hard time admitting fault.. it also could be why she keeps saying “it’s stupid” or belittling it because her brain is still having a hard time justifying what happened so she detaches from it by belittling it.

Actually not a good strategy. As someone who’s sat on a jury before in a veryyyyyy long drawn out case most of us want to use the time a witness or defendant is testifying to look at them and gauge their reactions and observe them on top of listening to what they are saying and when they literally stare at you at least for me it feels very creepy or I guess I should say intrusive because then it almost feels awkward trying to do your job in observing them. That’s just me anyway but I can’t imagine any juror like being thrilled that they are just making full eye contact with a complete stranger their entire testimony and personally I think it’s just much more powerful when giving the testimony to respond to the lawyer asking the question and only occasionally during very specific moments in the testimony to make eye contact with the jury.

As someone who studied law, one thing our professors always told us to look out for when it came to descriptions of DV, is tone, expression, and detail. Especially detail. When explaining what the ab*se consisted, usually a survivor gives the detail what the *pain* felt like. i.e., The heat and/or the sting , the pressures and/or numbness, the static, ringing in their ears, the smell and tastes of fluids if any around, etc. She kept saying she didn't remember any of those things, and that was a red flag in itself. As a DV survivor myself, I remember every single moment and all those sensations even years later. Her testimony and all the minuet details she constantly throws in her narrations are strange, and the way her lawyers question people are so often disingenuous. This case is so wild, and I'm gonna be so interested in seeing what jurors come forward and speak about this once it's over.
@YouMeWeUsHere2 жыл бұрын
I also wanna say, I do believe that Johnny was absolutely emotionally abusive to her when he wasn't sober and as fed up as he could get, but rarely, if ever, physically abusive to her. Dissolving herself of almost every bit of wrongdoing and framing it as this fragile young minded soul who fell for the millionaire monster who beat her on a regular basis instead of taking accountability for her wrongdoings is damning and a horrid tactic from her lawyers to lead with. There's so much that could be said about this case, but there's never gonna be a way to cover every base of it because it will continue to develop even when it's over.
@YouMeWeUsHere2 жыл бұрын
Also also, another key point in her narrations. In most DV cases, survivors tend to speed through the explanation of the violence perpetrated on them because of the difficulty of the memory and the desire to get it out there so they're not forced to keep reliving it. Her slowing down numerous times, and still not expressing what physically senses she experienced is once again a red flag. Johnny did admit that he destroyed the trailer that night in this court case, but the details she added are hella dodgy.

Johnny Depp has given some excellent performances film wise. Don Juan De Marco is great, but it’s basically him playing himself. Gilbert Grape, Ed Wood, Finding Neverland, all top notch performances. And that doesn’t include his goofy character roles like Scissorhands, Pirates and others. Pirates is hardly his best performance. Before this trial, I had forgotten how many great roles he’s had. Obviously it matters more if he assaulted someone, but the guy had no prior history of violence or abuse. She does. You don’t go from being an angel according to all his exes to a violent monster at 58 unless you have dementia and if her lawyers can prove that, fine. She's trying to portray sadness but it comes across more like her being annoyed. The facial expressions she's doing look deliberate and last longer than they would in reality. There' no flushing, no tears, no snot running. There's lots of tiny details she adds that don't matter in what the big picture is that she's trying to portray, and it's indicative of liars to exaggerate and to include needless details. She's faking this so hard. In the meantime Johnny is sitting there hiding his face and tries to wipe tears away with a napkin quickly because he's of course embarrassed to be crying and sad to be listening to her accusations
@MaMastoast2 жыл бұрын
I dunno if JD was crying or just had some kinda allergy or something, because he seemed entirely fine at other times. But yea she's clearly acting, and not well. All her expressions are so deliberate it's pretty darn cringy. As you said, she's trying to contort her face into troubled and upset expressions, but there's no reddening in her face, no swelled eyes, nothing.. Also note her cringy choice of words tha often sound like they're from a bad movie script.

Looking on how much AH is documenting she has almost nothing... that is actually telling a lot... JD "was the abuser", the abusers do not usually gather evidence like that... especially if you're the person that wanted to end the relationship multiple times and just GFTO. In the presented scenario and he has much more, photos, recording, texts, medical records of her abusing him, if we took the narration that he was the abuser he would need to dig out staff that he never would need or never thought he will need... While she was the abused one and she has almost no proof? Even the police was testifing against her.
