There’s flags on both sides. If you really go back to the beginning, you will see. Sometimes people get into relationships bc they feel that they need to move on from a past situation, they want to explore, or they want to find love. All three are faulty bc it’s based on how one feels of the past and only in a given space of present time. So people don’t get to process their exes or experiences the way they should- and it manifests in their next relationship. Your ex (I’ll respect her and not say her name) had insecurities of how she looked (though she’s gorgeous), how the world perceives her/how she wants to be perceived-this is why she was late all the time. It takes time to be “perfect”. The ex knows this upsets others, feels bad about being late, but cannot change their habits. So they try to justify in various ways, one being doing good deeds while running late. This causes the other to grow some deep seated animosity, until they just can’t take it anymore. Knowing that you are in a relationship with someone habitually late- you had two choices: set boundaries and give one chance OR go with the flow. You should have never planned a romantic event, knowing her habits. It was a beautiful idea, but you knew her, and habits don’t change bc money/it’s a loving gesture/or bc you planned meticulously. So that was a mistake on your part. She’s wrong no doubt, but you forced a situation & so you must take responsibility. Lastly, you mentioned your partner not making you feel safe/secure, though you were giving that. This is a routine of yours, and something you picked up from childhood. Giving to others, who do not return the same to you, and dwelling in that longer than you should. Explore that, heal that, and you will no longer attract that energy/type of person to you. I been following you for a minute, and I noticed you are attracted to women who are of the most maintenance and who garners much attention in the world. They are better being your friends, but not your lovers. These are just some notions. I used to be on both ends, and now I’m healed of those underlying issues that affect my relationships with others. -just a science teacher and YT watcher :)

Honestly, the patience you have is outstanding. I've been here since back then and that relationship is largely what made me start following your channel cus I never saw any representation of black lesbians or black lesbian relationships anywhere else so I was definitely hooked. When the breakup happened I saw people saying all kinds of stuff but lesbian youtube breakups were already pretty infamous back then and I knew the internet was gonna go wild spreading all kinds of rumours so I never believed any of it. I sort of felt like ya'll had been distant with each other in videos for a while so I just assumed you grew apart and moved on. Hearing this story now though??? I can't believe you even stayed for so long, I would have been 100% over it from the valentine's day incident cus that immediately says to me that that person does not value my time, my love, my energy, my hard work basically they just don't value me so there's no point being in a relationship. I would have been out of there and washed my hands with that relationship that night. It does seem very true to your character that you would have put 100% into making it work. I kind of disagree. When people are in a relationship, they should be careful in how they conduct themselves. If you wrong somebody, it shouldn’t be on them to keep their mouths shut, to protect your image. Meanwhile, they’re constantly being bombarded with hurtful accusations and assumptions about their conduct. If she needed to get this off her chest, then she needed to get this off her chest. People would’ve still felt the way you expressed if she’d talked about it sooner or even right after they broke up.
