Amboy To Ludlow California - Tom Green - Ghost Town - Van Life

Hey gang! I am back on the road after a few days at my home in Los Angeles to recharge. I took the time to do some work on the van with some upgrades to the recording studio. Abandoned buildings and homes fascinate me, I always think of the people that must have laughed, cried and loved under those roofs...many of who are long gone...but life keeps on plugging on, like getting those goods to where they need to go via rail. Man! Loved that damn shot of the train passing you. Right as it passed. How you captured the tail end flawlessly, but didn't try to whip the camera and follow it. Instead you chose to stop the camera and really accentuate how unnerving the quiet is as the sound of the train fades away. And then that little trickle of keyboard. Killer editing my man!

This is the time in your life to make movies for the experience itself, be present in the moment the quality of this footage is breath taking as stunning. I am enjoying the artistry in the desert. Tom inspired myself 10 years ago, to get a little pocket video camera. I remember Tom saying he was going to do this and is, "Bigfoot around the Pyramid". I have made many videos and have won awards for independent shorts at film festivals. Not any of my art films make any money, lol, it does not matter. I enjoy creating and sharing the experience of being here with a few people. I make a living as a Canadian Landscape Painter, I am not famous or rich, nor care, or planning to go back to California, I am also enjoying this virtual webo video experience , it enriches life,and this truly is a nice cool change of scenery. I FINALLY can live the van life now. I am selling EVERYTHING I GOT, gonna buy me a van and just "go". To hear what you say has been a huge influence regarding me giving up all my possessions to become "free". I'm not gonna bore you with my story, but in short, NOW is my chance. And I'm taking it and will be uploading vids of my new life. To me, it's a rebirth. I've worked most of my life and I felt that I was "programmed" to live the 9 to 5 wage slave life....buy a house, work, get old and just die with no adventure. But one day, I just woke up and said "Fuck ALL of this." And now, I have my chance. Everything is lined up for me financially to do this so I quit being scared of what might happen and I'm just gonna go for it. Thank you for posting your adventures and the places you've been. I will use them for references to go see this country and what's in it. Plus more. Keep on truckin', man. Maybe I'll run into you. Or not. Whatever, man.
