AMD Radeon RX 8000 RDNA4 Graphics Card Appears on Geekbench
The AMD Radeon RX 8000 series, based on the RDNA4 architecture, is showing up on Geekbench with some intriguing specs. The specific model spotted features 56 Compute Units (CUs) and 16GB of memory. This suggests it could be a mid-range card within the RX 8000 lineup. The RDNA4 architecture is expected to bring better performance per watt and more advanced features compared to RDNA3, making these cards a strong contender in the market. The 16GB of memory is significant as it positions this GPU well for high-resolution gaming and tasks that require a lot of memory bandwidth. While exact performance metrics aren't fully clear yet, this early appearance hints at what AMD has in store for gamers and content creators with their next-gen graphics cards.
GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU Confirmed with GDDR7 Memory
NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU is confirmed to feature GDDR7 memory, along with a 25W lower Total Graphics Power (TGP) compared to its predecessor, the RTX 4060. GDDR7 memory is expected to provide faster data transfer rates, which should help improve gaming performance and power efficiency, making it ideal for gaming laptops that need to balance power and portability. The reduced TGP is also a big deal, as it suggests the RTX 5060 will be more power-efficient, potentially leading to better battery life in laptops. This GPU will likely appeal to gamers looking for a solid balance between performance and energy efficiency in their portable gaming setups.

Back in the 80s, my family rented a 4 bedroom house with a front and backyard in the Silicon Valley for $800 a month. Today, you can't even find a decent 400 square-foot studio for less than $1500/month in the same area.

The way I shop for cards is usually wait 2 years after the cards come out because by then, all the updates are there for the GPUs I want to windows' updates for those cards. Years ago, I waited and bought the 1080 Ti, then waited again and then bought the 3080 even though I wanted the 3080 ti but couldn't find it. I'll wait till the 50 series come out and then will get the 4070 Ti super AKA 4080 Ti. I have never bought the 90 series because I just didn't think it was worth the bang for the bucks. Until the 90s series can cook me breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I will never buy them. But, I know why they're made and there is a market for them. The 1080 Ti today is still a very powerful card, especially with Nvidia's upscaling update and using Steam's Lossless Scaling. My 3080 right now with my i7 13th gen and 32 gigs of ram runs everything extremely well, and I can even play games at 4K using dlss and when needed, Lossless Scaling frame gen. And yep it can run every demanding creative software very well so I am very happy. I personally don't care for 3000 fps when it comes to gaming and brag that I can play at 4K. If you want a sharp image, use Reshade along with dlss and keep your game at the best resolution ever 1440p or 1600p. As long as your PC hits 60 fps consistently, your games will be enjoyable. When the 4070 Ti super is 300 bucks cheaper, I'll turn my now PC into a PS5 killer and put the CPU and GPU into an ITX frame then get the i9 14th gen for the 4070 Ti super and then upgrade to 64 gigs of ram into the desktop. My advice to all, shop smart even if you got money. Hurry 50 series so I can buy my 4070 Ti and also hope the i9 14th gen is also 200 bucks off.

I hope the RTX 5060 performs roughly the same as the RTX 3080. Since the RTX 4060 performs roughly the same as the RTX 2080 (as per techpowerup and benchmark videos I've watched). Although, the 128-bit bus is sad. But if its a lower TDP rtx 3080, i think consumers will like it.

@@oo_doggo4736 NVIDIA's still going to price gouge regardless, they got people out here paying 70 ti class prices from a few years ago for a 60 class card today. The gains don't matter as much if the price keeps creeping.... If it wasn't for AMD and older card's, console players would actually be right when they say stuff like "PC gaming is stupid, building a PC cost to much compared to just buying a PlayStation."

The low end cards of NVIDIA often are that trimmed down, it almost makes more sense to buy older high end cards. (If you have to have nvidia) The RTX5060 is rumored to have 8GB of VRAM or less. 💀 I don’t know whether it will be enough for 1080p in the coming years.

@K.R.98 people are brand sheep, they will throw money at NVIDIA for the 5060 with 8gb and pass up a 7900 GRE on for the same price when it goes on sale with 16 GB or a 7900xt with 20gb and futer proof their rig for several years....

Wait, if you really need graphics cards then grab 7000 series, otherwise you should wait for next generation, i dont think 8600xt gonna release soon but maybe 8700xt and 8800xt

If someone has a week or two for a PC Build, Dan is a great way to buy a PC. I agree, a 4090 is overkill for most people. I went with a 4080 super and it's overkill for me until I start editing some drone video for work. The 4080 super will still be more than enough for lite-med editing work. Keep up the great work Dan. Love the videos! (Dan, I hope I'm right to say a week or two, let me know, buddy!)
