AMD RX 7700 XT Review Ft XFX, Sapphire & Gigabyte [Benchmarks | Power | Thermals]

Yesterday we took a look at the RX 7800 XT which offers up some pretty good performance for its money at 1440p, but with a GPU that is $50 cheaper in the way of the 7700 XT, will that offer even better bang for buck or will it just be lost between the other cards?

You guys are doing great job - your reviews are one of the most comprehensive, showing all necessary details. What I especially like is the presentation of the coolers of reviewed cards - you show the heatsing on both sides, with fans taken out, so everyone can see if it's good for deshrouding or not. Almost no one else is doing that, so for me it's a big "plus".

If this card had launched by itself the 7700xt would have wowed us with a real generational performance jump. 6700xt to 7700xt is ~20-30%. But then, AMD decided to play silly pricing games to try and push 7800xt sales. In an alternate universe where AMD is actually trying to take Nvidia market share all across the mid-tier GPU segment...this card would be priced at $400, and the alternate universe enthusiast reviewers all release glowing reviews about how AMD got a launch right. In an alternate universe...

Great once Andy and the eTeknix team 🥰👍. Firstly, get the 7800XT (it’s actually an Rx7800 non-XT based on specs🤦‍♀🤦) until the 7700XT drops at least $50-70 imo. Secondly, what happened to the 3080/90 1% lows and averages are really bad in sone tests …..outside margin of error, imo, testing in the benchmarks 👀 noticed it before in other videos too🤔

I am between Gigabyte oc and Sapphire pure, coming from a sapphire 6700xt pulse with 2 fans i am not satisfied at all with hot spot temps as it goes over 100c in some games even with custom fans speed , and its loud too. I am in love with sapphire pure white look, in the other hand gigabyte has 1 extra year of warranty with RMA, its 2cm shorter, its higher clocked from factory and its small led at least is RGB customisable while sapphires led is just red, shame its not RGB.. Price is the same...I am in the middle any recommendation guys?

its about time people started to include the 20 range in the benchmarks so people who are looking at an upgrade can see if its actually worth it and actually if the 20 series is still a good buy and mayb even worth buying second hand

newegg made some pricing drops/errors for the 7700xt xfx, so i got one for 340! i got a 4060 ti second hand for 260... wondering if it is worth keeping that over the 7700xt :/ i could sell it and only would have spent a bit more to get the 7700xt

AMD should always be Sapphire or PowerColor (but PowerColor only the high-end models)

Last Gen's 6800 (and up) GPUs & the new 7000 series have serious power issues @ video playback (youtube, Netflix, video players etc.) 40+ W is stupidly HIGH & meaningless... and while the previous 6700 XT consumes only 16W, the new 7700 XT doubles that power draw with a whooping 33W on "video playback" AMD should solve that power issue @ video playback at least in the next 8000 series. No, I'm NOT UpGrading. I'll stay with RX 6700XT until the next Gen.

I got a 7800xt. Runs great when it's not crashing my pc locking up green screening and making my bios splash screen disappear. May send it back. Tough one cause i do like the performance when it works.

Spiderman experiences bottlenecking in our testing so whilst it does look a bit weird at 1080p, the results are accurate, and flight SIM is always weird because the bottlenecks are so bad in that game

got my RX 7700XT Pulse for 453€ (without tax 366€) - UV + OC = 3000MHz in Games // 9620 in Port Royal ( /pr/2679900 ) = i am very happy the RX 7800XT model i wanted was 569€ with tax - so its 25% more money for 15-18% more performance = i made a good deal (would be 2.88€ 18:00)
