These guys have made watching this America’s Cup ,and the previous ones, far more enjoyable than it would be without them. Problem is, if they were commentating in an official capacity then they may have to watch what they say, and we would lose a big part of what makes Mozzy Sails so good. Hopefully they can get some more sponsorship, not directly related to the America’s Cup organisation, that might allow them to spend more time covering and/or travelling for the cup.

Thanks Mozzy! You are a big part of the fun of the America's Cup! Very specially in the build up phase... when everyone is still trying to figure out the boats potential (and you already had). great coverage Mozzy, come to NZ for the next one mate, nothing beats watching it from the water, especially in the sheltered waters of Auckland courses. Ineos have had a great campaign, they were fighters, loved their battle with Prada particularly. Dennis Connor said it best- the race is won before the first race starts, it is all in the preparation, fastest boat takes all in a seven race series. Another great cup cycle finishes leaving you wanting more, bloody legendary.

@@jameslittle8891@jeremysmith5232 It's the fact that this regatta was not "sailed in the sheltered waters of New Zealand" that made it such a good one. The variability of the conditions added hugely to the spectacle. If it is sailed in Kiwi waters could you choose somewhere that gets some waves. At least then there might be some cross over to other forms of sailing.

I read a comment about how Mozzy Sails filled a massive information gap way before any actual racing got underway and I am really thankful for that too. Made the long wait for action so much more tolerable. Also, I'm so grateful for the knowledge I've been able to gain as a non-sailor from watching your channel. My one and only sailing experience was with a schoolmate in his P-class - which was an absolute disaster! He never offered me another stint. I rate you up with Glenn Ashby as a commentator and the America's Cup organisation would benefit immensely if they had you on board. Here's hoping for AC38. Thank you so much for everything! Your channel has added quite a lot what comes to following the AC. THX a lot 👍🏼 One thing that caught my eye abt ETNZ manoeuvres. It looked like they lowered the foil arm a lot later. To me it looked often that the arm started lowering almost at the same time the boat started turning, in comparison to others, who's manoeuvres started both foils down (it may be it only looked like it)

Tom, thank you for your really detailed, technical & incisive analysis. For both AC tragics. & sailing enthusiasts generally your coverage has brought AC 37 to life. Congratualtions ETNZ and thank you INEOS Britannia for being worthy, dangerous & innovative challengers. The good news is that Dalts is looking for a quick turnaround so as to capitalise on the momentum for all the teams, sponsors and sailors. They're looking at trying to introduce a budget cap - something which he says they'd need to pressure test with all the kinds of stakeholders who would seek to circumvent it. If the venue can be settled quickly he was talking about the next Cup being in '26. Grant Dalton is a Formula 1 enthusiast who races in the Isle of Man Classic TT. He welcomes F1 technology into the Cup & I think it was through that lens that ETNZ identified that between foil cavitation & sail efficiency, the top AC 75's were pretty much hitting a top speed ceiling. Given that top speeds were all largely the same that really left the manoeuvres and acceleration as the other areas of the performance envelope where significant gains could be found.

Without your commentaries, analysis and interpetations I would have given up on the Americas Cup entirely ages ago. For the last few races I turned off the LV commentary, made my own observations and then watched your post match comments for sensible insights. One team had a consistently faster boat across a wider range of conditions and won the Cup, another team had a fast boat and displayed better tactics across a wider field to become the runner up. Your videos have provided technical insights and explanations understandable to both sailors non sailors alike and without corporate puff or turning every quirk of development into a drama during the months of build up and the main event. Many thanks, and roll on the next one!

Average wind speed across any of the given matches never exceeded 9kN. There was no "range" of conditions save races 7-8 that had moderate sea state, but low winds. Pity that INEOS won out as the challenger in a wide range of conditions (e.g., some would say freakishly high at times), but were ill positioned against a ETNZ that thrived in weak conditions.

Hey Tom, huge thanks for covering all the technical details during this AC. Without you it would be impossible to understand and enjoy what's going on there for us terrestrials. I almost started to understand the terms tack/jibe/ windward/leeward/leeway port/starboard, all that geometry & physics theory and how the heck do they sail upwind with 4 times the windspeed Still didn't get what high/low modes are though ) So that's the idea for a video about "How to watch AC if you've never sailed" Thanks again, much appreciated
