This has to be air quality over actual street litter pollution. Has anyone been to a northern city like New York, Philly, Detroit, Chicago? They are all easily far more dirty than Houston or any Texas city. And big California cities have homeless people all over the place. Most of Houston is nice, the bad areas are more far north and far south, southeast, many east side areas. The inside the loop is usually OK, and most suburbs/greater Houston is fine. Hobby airport and IAH airport area as well as Pasadena is famous for being grimey.

Air pollution dirty will always be either Houston, LA, or Dallas because they are car dependent cities that are large in population size and spread out. Roaches just naturally exist in humid regions with lots of water, swamps, and trees which Houston has. Your house could be totally clean and a roach will get in from outside, so Idon't consider that to be dirty. When it comes to dirty streets and trash...Houston is so much cleaner than NYC, Philly, LA, Oakland, San Fran, NOLA, Detroit, Baltimore, D.C., New Wark, etc. Downtown Houston, Chicago, and Dallas have the cleanest Downtowns for major cities

We just had flooding all the way out in NE of Houston like Humble and on the NW Houston as far down into Spring Branch and Memorial area we had storms knocking down trees and farther out at least 2 tornados and one tornado in Katy. That's like adding insult to injury.

Sorry I have been to some cities that are really pitiful; overall if they are taking about air quality maybe but not on trash or even critters; we have pine trees that do have tree roaches; these are the large flying ones; but overall a very clean city in comparing some to others.
