(IMO) it’s a “crisis” only when whìte people experience ior are impacted. Many of these things America is going through, Błack people BEEN going through forever just as a function of being Błack in America but it wasn’t a “crisis” then. For Błack people, it was downplayed and it was even our fault, as in, “if Błack people ‘tried harder,’ you’d get ahead because we all know America is The Land of Opportunity and you can have and achieve anything you set your mind to do in America.”) Well,...... now that whìte people in America are not getting ahead and even falling backwards despite trying hard, it’s a full blown American crisis.

American life for many Błack people has been lived in VERY physically violent surroundings for a very long time with gūn violence outside, police brutality always threatening all around, DV inside but all of that was relegated to “their community.” When you łook back at the CRAZY crack era of the 1980s and 90s and what that did to Błack families then (and how some of those then are the parents of what we’re seeing now in the young people today running amok, raised with little family foundation) With all that that did to Błack America - and to America in general - it’s kind of wild that America is all up in arms about “violence in America” now.

I literally just told my friend yesterday, "If my family or friends aren't involved, I don't care." Why should I care and fight and scream from the rooftops about gun safety and regulations to save their childrens lives if they won't do it for their own? I have a feeling, for the next four years, I'm going to continue not giving a F about a lot of stuff.

this conversation is so wild to me. Today i had an appointment with my wonderful black psychiatrist in philadelphia. To echo what doctor black is saying , she said to me, that the only group of people on earth that colonize other people because they were lacking are europeans. when asian, african and the americans indengious people colonize other lands/people they didnt need to take anything but rather they added to their societies. Its wild because im starting to see through dr blacks anaylsis this point. we would feed the baby. its just how our humanity functions.

yup, as we've been told, what goes UP must come DOWN. so all Civilizations have a beginning, a rise, and then a fall where for one reason or another they COLLAPSE INTO THE DUST. to this end America's fall will be the result of NUMEROUS reasons intersecting and making the other WORSE than it would normally be if it were all by itself.

Respectfully, this is something I've always found confusing that nobody in black spaces ever mentions. After Sandy Hook it became abundantly clear to me that Whyte people do not care about their own babies, so how dare I demand them care about my black queer self I see how they treat their own babies. We see over and over again. Thoughts and prayers. So my question is how do we move in a space with people who have no empathy for their own children?

So the slavery abolition act of 1833 which was the first time in human history a civilization passed a law banning slavery and it occurred in Great Britain while there are still places on the planet that have slaves. The Royal Navy's West Africa Squadron played a key role in stopping the Arab slave trade by capturing ships and freeing enslaved Africans as well.

@kelthe8thman66124 күн бұрын
@chocobabyflakes3215 If those things have been true since the beginning then why point it out as a barometer for the times we live in? I don't think we have the data to prove these concurrent events have been happening since the beginning. I believe the scripture is talking about the frequency and how concurrent these events are coming together. There are many, many examples from just the past four years alone. What am I going to do about it? Stay connected to the vine, Yeshua, do my part in making where I live a better place according to Kingdom principles and fear not for these things must come to past.

welcome to the deleterious effects of LATE STAGE CAPITALISM. at only 500 years young, the US as a Nation is really still just an immature teenager in the larger context of World History where many Civilizations existed for more than a Millenia. for comparison to America, Chinese culture is a whopping 5,000 years old.

Wow! This is an easy one for the thumbnail. We have always lived in the dark ages by Western meaning. For some, it's mind over matter. You live and thrive in the light of power, you may have a chance in which you don't mind and the material needs that will make you forget the true darkness only matters.

Not at all coincidental or ironic that; contact with Africa sparked BOTH the beginning of "civilization" (Kemet culturally uplifting the Greeks sparking Europe's 'classical' period) AND the beginning of the Renaissance (finding the city of Timbuktu and it's Great Library)...inversely, prolonged time-frames without non-African influences align with great advances in African cultures.
