Charles Miller named the candy after his favorite aunt, Mary Jane, and it has featured the same "little girl" illustration on its wrappers since its inception. Mary Jane candies are currently made in Revere, Massachusetts.

The Target box means she had something delivered from Target. It's pretty common here in the US to save boxes from deliveries to ship to other people. Right now, I'm working on a friend's birthday box that will ship in a Jelly Belly (the most famous US jelly bean company) box.

Hey Kate and Alex! This isn't a comment about the video but it's very important. I've noticed a lot more lately children putting their addresses on KZbin videos for giveaways or just so the KZbinrs will write them. I'm not sure if this had happened on your videos yet or not but please keep a look out for it and delete them if you find it. I'm sure you know how dangerous it can be for a child's address to be out there. Just please keep an eye out. My friend saw her daughter doing it and had to go back into all the videos she's watched and delete the comments. A lot of kids don't realize this is dangerous. Just thought I'd bring it up just in case.

Most of the lollipops we have with prints on the front, like the American flag ones you got in this box, if you hold the print down on your tongue for a few seconds it leaves the print on your tongue. I'm not sure if that's what it's there for but it's something fun I remember doing as a child 😊 You're videos are so fun to watch! In the 60s/70s people didn’t have as many toys or belongings as kids today. I played with all the same books and toys handed down from my siblings. The Gold Rush bubble gum sack was a rare treat from what we would call a Penny Candy Store. But we would save the bag the gum came in for YEARS!!! I think I made some into doll dresses, and my brothers kept money in them. No one threw anything away then, and anything could, and did become a toy. It was a different era, and a super fun time to grow up in.

I remember in the early 70's, the Gold Rush bubble gum came in a little florescent pink sack with flowers on it--perfect for a doll's hippie mini skirt. I kept all sorts of things in the little bags through junior high. I even saved up Bazooka Joe comics & sent for a dime store locket. lol Those were the days...

Open the candy pack correctly an they slide right into the case. *Jujyfruit, yep, that's the correct pronunciation, were around long before we had any gummi candy. *Snow caps, right up there with Raisinettes as a favorite movie candy. *Baby Ruth is like a Payday covered in chocolate. *N-E-C-CO, New England Confectionary Company was purchased by a huge company, but its future is unclear. *MaryJane, MariJuana. *Tootsie Pops catch phrase made them fun to eat as a kid, "How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?". You start to chew them before all the hard candy was gone. *Love watching you two!

Woohoo!! Another taste test video and with classic American candies! I love Mary Jane candies and the other peanut crunch ones. Those have always been my fave since I was a kid. Every once in a while I will take a break of hunting for new candy and get myself Mary Janes. The tootsie pops are so good and they started making new flavors a few years ago. I like the fact that instead of gum in the middle it’s a chewy center. Juju fruits are just like Dots. Sometimes I forget they get stuck in my teeth and I get some. Still love the fruity flavors tho. I have a subscription to you candy box. I quite enjoyed this months ( just like I always do). I especially loved the sweets in the pink bag, the Maoam Crazy Rocks, and the Aero bar. We don't have anything like those in the US. I would love to try your Rolos! ❤️

The original snow caps that we got at the movies in the 60s were much bigger. I find the different sizes changes the taste/experience.

The reason some candies are Hershey in the US and Nestlé elsewhere is usually because the candies were originally from another company that Hershey bought, but that Nestlé had distribution rights for in other countries. It happens with quite a few other products from various brands too.

You can get Sno-Caps pretty much everywhere. They’re a classic movie theater candy. Sometimes people mix them with popcorn. 🍿♥️ Love your videos!

I love a Mary Jane. And the peanut butter bars are retro but so are mary janes. You can still find both, but its very hard. Peanut butter bars, 5th Avenue chocolate bars, werthers original, and chuppa chups ice cream shop suckers were some of my grandmas favorites.

I grew up eating screwballs and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. Wow loved when the icecream truck came around. Loved buffalo bills too, with the SAME gumball nose. Lol
