Don't limit ownership of the American Civil War. I am Englsih (now 71) but have been caught up in this war since I was about10. Seen most of the battlefields, collected the good quality books and endured Hollywood movies. Excellent collection, painted to a very high standard. Nice to see - thanks for posting.

Well, I’m about nine years behind you. And what’s funny is I have collected English armies. I have about eight of them from all periods of history because I’m caught up in its history. It’s funny what we all love. Thank you for your lovely comments. I have posted now 98 videos of my armies. Still have more to do.

Fantastic Confederate army and we picked up Old Glory 15's for the force. I've been to the Kennesaw Battlefield back in 2008 while visiting the southern battlefields. I still need to hit the battlefields in Virginia to finish out the complete tour of the Civil War. It helped that we did a lot of battlefields in the army while discussing tactics of the era. Have a great day Rusty

I did not hear great things about the Cross Deadly Field. Although you might find them enjoying. I’m a little cautious on other opinions. I would try them. Another very interesting set that I found a lot of fun in a larger scale was from little wars TV. Altar of Freedom Grand Tactical Battles for the American Civil War Play the largest battles of the American Civil War ITS ON THEIR WEBSITE. not expensive and pdf. I thought they were very fun.

Great collection. I have collections of ACW figures in 15mm, 1/72, and 28mm, and a couple of years ago began the Epic scale. My 15 mm ACW army is also mainly Old Glory. I found that buying in bulk of $400 with their discounts was best for me. Your 15mm collection is MUCH larger than mine, and is most impressive! Have fun with the hobby and be well!
@thekrausecollection15mmmin538 ай бұрын
Thanks, Bruce I always like to hear from people. I really just started KZbin for the purpose of documenting my collection. And then I decided it could help people to get inspiration and motivate. Yeah, you’re right. I do like old glory and I think their figures are still really nice. Mine is probably little bit larger than yours, but I’ve been collecting for a long time and I’m probably a lot older than you are.😂😂

You might want to watch it. My relatives were in an Illinois regiment that fought so it has special meaning to me. Certainly would love to, except I’m going to be gone those days. To bad geez

Both videos were great!! 15mm ACW was my first collection as well. I do like the idea of the 40x40 bases, especially as I use many 3d printed miniatures and they can be delicate. Your units are pretty large ( i aim for 24 figs or roughly 20:1), you could paint 20 or so just command stands and almost double the amount of regiments you can field. Thanks for sharing!

What I wanted to write that I hit the button too quick was your ride. I think they look great. The old glory figures very animated. Paint well and just add a little extra flavor to your army. You can mix them in with other manufacturers to get kind of an animated look, which I enjoy.

As neat and nifty as the warlord epics are, my ideal minis have to have bayonets fixed. The boys gotta be ready to get their dander up! Awesome collection for both armies by the way. I was wondering when you might make videos on them considering your video about how you got into the hobby. =)

Peter, wonderful. I’m glad I helped you. I think it helps when you can visualize things. I’m sure yours will look great. In retrospect I would have liked to have used more of the butternut color. Hi Peter. The choices of figures you’ve made are excellent and they would mix in extremely well. In hindsight, I probably would have used a little bit more of the butternut colors. I found a lot of colorized photos from the Civil War. You can find them online confederate soldiers and all of them are wearing this grayish brown type Jackets. I think if you just use different browns different grays sprinkle a little blue and red in there to look really great. I found a good source of black-and-white flags. I printed them off and painted them. My daughter did a couple ofthem with ink pens. Worked well and had better control. Just for giggles what rules are you going to use to play your games?

These look so much better than the epic strips. To me epic would suit the Seven Years War and Napoleonic, but they’re too well ordered for ACW. This is how ACW should look. Great job.
@thekrausecollection15mmmin537 ай бұрын
Thanks Sam. Your right. Epic strips remind me of Prussian musketeers 1760. Some people enjoy it and I’m not mocking it. Anybody can enjoy what they like. I just had these and thought I would show them off in support of figure manufactures that they still have nice desirable minis.

It helped with having straight lines.😂. anyway I’m glad you liked the army.
