To save money, time and confusion you should have common short questions in English and have Google translate in Vietnamese because it uses 6 accents (intonations) and foreigners are not familiar with them. Try it to see if it works. You can use text and/or voice if necessary. One example with the word ma: it has different meanings and intonations. depends on where I'm and at the type of service...I basically always tip for things like deliveries, haircuts, taxi rides...eating food at a place it depends on what type of place it is but where that would be seen as more compulsory in the US it's definitely not here in Vietnam
