Sometime looks can be deceiving and photos can be misleading. Today we had an amazing lunch at a placed called Chef Marquin Burgers Siargao. The hamburgers were one of the best hamburgers I have eating in the past eight years I have been living in the Philippines.

Looks amazing, wish we had that up here in Pangasinan. I can confirm the service water here is fine since I drink water with 90% of my meals in restaurants. The nearest Jollibee is the only place I've had issues, I think the fountain drinks and ice both have tap water. I have never not had stomach issues after drinking coke or tea there.

Back in the late 80's DiDi's Pizza near Clark Main Gate in Angeles City had a great bacon cheeseburger with all meat (no filler) for about $1.50 with a drink. I asked them where they got their beef and they said it was imported from Australia. Didis also had great tacos, although I didn't care for their pizza (had anise or some wierd spice in it).

Yep great ribs, but that pizza was terrible. Cheese was nasty. They are still here in AC but different location on MacArthur.

At a local bar here in the midwest a gourmet burger like that costs about $10 with a side order of home made potato chips. Thanks for sharing. Phil

A good burger place is hard to find. They have the cheesy burger and dogs places, and they are not even close to being adequate. Now, it has to be in a place that has the clientele because provincial Filipinos won't eat raw vegetables because of bad experiences. If they had a good steak sandwich, that would be awesome. Unfortunately, they usually don't harvest a cow until it can't produce milk or calves anymore, so they tend to be on the tough side .
