I honestly woulda though companies could pay for fitness trainers and nutritionists. Like wtf people literally exist to do that as a job why arent they using them
@mikayla91463 жыл бұрын
I don't think any nutritionist would agree with the weights they want the girls to be. That is why the girls are just eating cherry tomatoes or I also heard eating one yam per day. They are all getting plenty of excercise with all the hours of daily dance practise, fitness trainer isn't really going to be helpful. Bottom line, it's an unhealthy weight to maintain for the majority.
@julianasilva69463 жыл бұрын
@@mikayla9146 if they are getting paid I'm sure many wouldn't care.
@mikayla91463 жыл бұрын
We can agree to disagree. A nutritionist isn't going to be of much help in maintaining an unhealthy weight, as they are not going to advocate eating only 300-500 calories per day.

It's high time the k-pop industry is exposed, challenged and revolutionized. We need more artists speaking on these issues. The things that these companies do and ask from human beings are all human rights violations. It's just sad.
@MissSushi1233 жыл бұрын
The people on the top of the kpop industry chain need to be revolutionised. If their minds don’t change, nothing will, and so many things will happen behind closed doors even if from the outside it looks like things are improving.

7:10 but that's the thing! If an idol is able to sing and dance amazingly, who cares what they weigh?! Idols like Hwasa and the girl (i forgot her name!) from Purple Kiss got so much hate for being "chubby" but, they're still beautiful and sound and dance amazing! It's such a shame that people are so obsessed with idols having to be stick-thin.

I couldn't imagine how it would feel for the actual trainees, hearing those words said to you multiple times a day. That episode on Sixteen where they sh*t on jihyo for not maintaining her weight, called her unprofessional because of that and how she deserved to be in lower ranks because of that, dmn

I agree. The industry is so fixated with looking perfect. This topic just touched the surface and its just weight issues. They should have another topic about how entertainment pressures idol to have a perfect face, surgery, etc. which has trickled into normality in S. Korea. It's sad when you hear ur SK friends say their parents think they don't have a BF is because they are ugly and need to fix themselves. It's disheartening to hear this and also see them go through low self-esteem and thinking that its all because don't have pretty external features that equates to not having a bf.

There's something that suddenly came to my mind. In my country, minors are the superior interest by law. So their rights are placed highly above anyone else. One the most important rights is ✨ Health✨, apart from education. So, if there were companies here like kpop agencies -starving kids and teens on purpose, for the sake of show business, more than one executive would go to jail.

For this sedentary soul of mine, just getting into a dance practice room for 2 hours would be enough physical activity or exercise to lose some weight. I'd be done for the week. But my own nutritional plan? No one can take it away from me. So, I definitely agree with Peniel: you can't pretend to lose weight by eating salads, and killing yourself with so much physical activity, like idols are used to. You have to be consequent with your actions. How can someone try to be happy and cheerful all the time if they're not healthy? Please, do something to change the system! People's health is at risk. Can't you stand for yourselves? 😭💔

I'm so glad to hear idols recognizing how toxic the "diet" culture is in the industry. I feel so bad for all the young men and women in the industry who are being subjected to this mistreatment. No weight is unprofessional, and idols will always be attractive to the fans regardless of their weight, I guarantee you that. I hope they can all get to a point where they have a healthy relationship with food, weight and body image.

It’s called it creates an unhealthy culture and can lead people to eating and mental disorders with food. Anorexia and bulimia are real problems. Binge eating or starving yourself… it’s not healthy. Also muscle weights more than fat. They should have a nutritionist or doctor and an exercise person teach them balance. You should be able to enjoy food and not be on extreme diets or meal plans and exercise. Dancing is exercise. It makes me sad and I wonder how many kpop guys and gals have struggled with it.
