@@losarpettystrakos7687 Well, weve got several fancy-named cities. Like "Jazgrzewszczyzna", "Brzyskorzystewsko", "Szymankowszczyzna" etc. I guess even names such as "Szczecin" might sound tricky. Anyway, your name of a city comes from popular polish tounge-breaker "W Szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie, i Szczebrzeszyn z tego słynie." Btw, "Szczebrzeszyn" is a real name of a city too.

As a Albanian i can confirm our country is pronounced Alabama and it is part of the United States, and I never understood why there is so much space between the United States and Alabama and when I go there I only take 1 hour, if anyone knows why tell me please
@Alpatrixx11 ай бұрын
Alabama and Albania, separated by oceans and continents, are indeed the same place! Who knew, right? It's like a mind-blowing. Now for the reason my friend! Alabama appears to be far away from the rest of the United States on some maps is because those mischievous cartographers decided to play a little game of "hide and seek" with our geographical senses. They thought it would be hilarious to give Alabama its own personal space.

But I think there is something fishy going on because President Boris Johnson (or Jeansson??) speaks French and grew up in Brussels' Sprouts, Belgium Waffles, so I think he is really a puppet dictator installed by French secretary-general Emmanuel Macaroon. You're talking about all the Mexican countries, but all the *BRAZILIAN* countries are where it's at. I mean there's Brazilian Europe (Portugal), Brazilian Macaronesia (Cape Verde), Brazilian Southwest Africa (Angola), Brazilian Southeast Africa (Mozambique), Brazilian Guinea (Guinea-Bissau), Brazilian Gabon (São Tomé and Príncipe), Brazilian Timor (Timor Leste), and while not a country you can't forget about Brazilian China (Macau) I am fully convinced the Poles came up with their settlement names by closing their eyes, smashing their keyboards, and writing whatever it results in...and I say this as someone who's part Polish on my dad's side

0:43 Fun Fact! (Not really for Americans) We are exactly 2 miles away from Russia! There are 2 islands called Big diomede and Little Diomede little belongs to Alaska and big belongs to Russia. It goes across the 24 hour zone so it’d be the 24th in little diomede and the 25th on big diomede.

as an Indonesian in 4th grade, I feel bad thinking American kids having to learn 50 states and their capitals, when I can't even remember 34. But after learning that some Americans don't know basic geography just left me speechless.
@jpnpod8277 Жыл бұрын
It takes a lot time as well as bit of traveling experience to truly learn them all, which not many Americans get. Even I couldn't point out where each state is on a map, nor could I list them straight from memory, but I can recognize all of them when I hear or read any of them. I think most Americans are similar.
@urphakeandgey6308 Жыл бұрын
Yes, Americans are shit with geography, especially on the global scale, but lemme make one tangent: The USA is a HUGE nation. I see so many Europeans (and even Americans) talk down on Americans for not "travelling the world." When tbf, "travelling the world" is easy as fucking shit when you're a European that lives only a couple hours away (driving distance) from the next country with a different culture, language, and history.

As an Englishman can I explain the complexities of the UK? England was built two million years ago by the Romans. Wales was added as an extension by Vikings in the early Stone Age. In 2000BC William Shakespeare defeated the Normans, united Wales and England and formed the Kingdom of Wessex. Scotland collided with Wessex during the Ice Age of 1698. Two years later Queen Elizabeth the second, who is still the queen today, conquered Scotland. She called this new country The United Kingdom better known as just England. All Welsh and Scottish people consider themselves to be English. Great Britain is actually a fictional land invented by Charles Dickins and not a term ever used in the UK (pronounced Ook). Northern Ireland is a province inhabited by Irish people many of whom believe Britain is a real place and want to be part of it. It is the dream of all United Kingdomish people to be Americans.
