Scrim was done by US Airborne troops and Rangers in WW2 before D-Day..

So, while they were training in England. Wonder where they could have picked up the idea? 😋 The US units used both US made scrim nets and British made scrim nets.

Ok so im kinda new and just started airsoft and i need a helmet scrim and there are no army surplus stores in my area so if i were to use a printed camo will it work?

Camo fabric is already cheap so no you would just look like a dumbass if you did burlap.

The present issue British helmet covers come with scrim material kits that are strips of standard weight cotton MTP pattern fabric

Are these materials described IR opaque? Seems like you would want to be really careful what material you use.

if you are not sure: spraypaint is IR opague same goes with acrylic paint mixed with chalk
