Every episode of Father Ted is a work of art when it comes to comedy. Brilliant scripts, production, and cast. I'm so sorry Dermot Morgan died soon after filming of series 3was finished. We only got to see series 3 because his family wanted them to finish the editing and show it on TV. My only regret is wondering how awesome series 4 would have been in a series that got better each time.

Americans probably wouldn't understand this, but the guy singing on TV at the start of the FR Ted video Owen Mc Love is a take off of parody of real Irish performer Danielle O Donnell. He kinda sings these Mammy songs and though he does have young fans his fan base is more aged so to speak. He's loved in the UK, even more than in Ireland, and his albums sell really well. He does perform in the States too along with other countries like Australia where he's popular. So this FR Ted episode is having a pop at poor Daniel O Donnell. But he's rich so he doesn't give a flying fk what show makes fun of him.

If you want to react to the theme song the song is the divine comedy - songs of love, Neil Hannon (the lead singer) wrote my lovely horse in the Eurovision episode. The biggest hit that the divine comedy ever had in the uk was national express and was released in 1999. There were rumours that one of the musicians from the band went to my school I think that was a myth though. The writer of Firefox taught English at my old school though #fact.
