Props for covering Kano he's a legend in the UK grime scene. Also, in the popular TV show 'Top Boy'. UK culture is heavily influenced by Jamaican immigrants, often 2nd gen. Also if you are not understanding the lyrics you'd do yourself a favour looking them up on genius, they are way deeper than you might imagine.

Fun Fact, UK Black culture is mainly Jamaican and Caribbean and West African (African in general)..mixed with working class english (Cockney)..most of these man are 2nd and even 3rd generation Caribbean/Africans, thats why our bop different . practically got the motherland and Caribbean bounce plus the grime history..where US man have your own black culture which is kinda divorced from the Motherland and the Caribbean unless you have direct relatives you not getting that influence as strong...soon changing tho when UK Black culture connects with US, through NY (Brooklyn) to the rest of the US..when south get that connection with UK its gonna be over..the next wave of creative black sh!t is gonna be mad still.

JME AND SKEPTA are Nigerian Kano / chip / scorcher / Wiley are CARIBBEAN. Kano is Jamaican basically and is in touch with his roots and also blend of UK slang as he’s from there. The best at this is durrty goods above all these guys, he just never been consistent with music because of life in general. Kano / ghetts / scorcher / chip / Wiley / devlin / JME / Skepta these the guys you need to see first!
