HSV and FC St. Pauli wich also play in the Same division of the Bundesliga so they meet regular in games all over the year and I would 100% recommend you to go there. I personally support HSV.

Sir, the wife and me went to Hamburg and the Miniature Wonderland. Bring time, it is bigger now. A bridge spans over a canal into another "Speicherhaus" Her they are building South America, Antarctica. This year they already finished Patagonia, the Drake Passage and Antarctica. My birthday present are tickets for the Miniatur Wonderland for several days. Oh at Knuffingen airport, sometimes visitors most unusual come by, like a Spaceshuttle or the Millenium Falcon. Considering what you can experience, I personally think the fee is ok. Be safe sir. Elmar from Schwabenland

I have been there and it was amazing. One day isn’t even enough to explore everything. In general Hamburg is a beautiful city with many things to see. Over 3 years I have spent 6 weeks of vacation in Hamburg and didn’t see everything yet. It’s definitely worth a trip. From my place to Hamburg it’s 820 kilometers and I don’t regret a single one of it. Go to Hamburg by train you see more of Germany while traveling just looking out of the window and the public transportation in Hamburg is so good. They even have an app for it which helps a lot.

I have bin there several times. The Miniatur Wunderland (MIWULA) is worth more than one visit. Because it is so big. After four or five hours you are full off impressons and you have seen maybe a quarter or, if you look more detailed, 10%. But Hamburg you can stay a week and is not boring. A vlog from your trip to Hamburg, or every day from your trip, will be amazing

I was there twice. It's a phenomenon and Germany's attraction no. 1 overall! You can see the workshop. The restaurant they have is (or was at least) styled as passenger train compartments with real seats that have been decommissioned/replaced by newer ones. These are of course getting on in years, but exude a lot of charm of railroad history. The tracks cover about 10.25 miles (about 891.5 miles equivalent in real life size) and all trains together traveled more than 6,400,123 miles.

Yes! It definitely is! I was there twice, and I spend there in total about 10-11 hours just trying to look at every little detail, and I am sure I have overlooked a lot of things!

I'm from Hamburg, have been to MiWuLa multiple times and highly recommend it, even if you're not a train enthusiast (which I'm not lol). Booking in advance is a must though! It's best to avoid weekends and holidays when visiting since it can be difficult to get close enough to see details otherwise. Try visiting on a weekday when the kids are at school. And Hamburg in general is a travel destination I'd always recommend :D

Nice reaction, can recomment visting! I'm from Hamburg and visit the Wunderland every 4 to 5 years, each time spending at least one full day there. Lately I'd recommend to take two days and still I discover new stuff everytime I go, even in the older sections. There's just a huge amount of detail and stories and you should bring even more time and patience, if you want to press all the buttons.

I'm from Hamburg and have been to Miniaturwunderland several times! It was always breathtaking and I was not only able to celebrate the newly built sections of the facility between my visits there, but also discovered new things in the older sections that I hadn't seen before! Take a look at the Miniaturwunderland homepage! You can now also experience it interactively by being “shrinked” into a computer simulation! It's just fantastic! PS: the homepage is also translated into English! Apart from Wonderland, Hamburg is always worth a trip! and I'm not just saying that as a hamburger! Hamburg is a city of superlatives: We are the city of Moin and Ahoy, from “Hummel-Hummel”, “Mors-Mors” and the Lemon Jette. The city of Franzbrötchen, Labskau and where you drink beer from the “Knolle”! Here, according to legend, a headless man passed 11 of his comrades! We are celebrating the largest harbor festival in the world here, right “next to” the largest historical warehouse complex and the smallest restaurant in the world! We live in the city with the world's first police station and the world's largest park cemetery which, after Cicago, is also the second largest cemetery in the world. There is also the oldest adventure zoo and the only tunnel for vehicles in the world that can be reached via elevators. This is also the first river tunnel in Europe. Here you will find most of the bridges in Europe, including the two longest in Germany. Large boats can be observed on the longest pontoon system in Europe. It is not only the city with the most bridges, but also the city with the most weekly markets in Europe. Goods are offered from the largest contiguous fruit-growing area in Northern Europe and the largest flower and vegetable growing area in Germany! The first ice cream parlor in Germany is on the first completely asphalted road in Germany and not far from it oldest steamship in operation in Germany. It bears the name of the district in which the oldest general hospital in Germany is located: St. Georg. St.Georg and St.Pauli, two districts named after saints, are also the most sinful! In the “speicherstadt” (THE warehouse complex, see above) you will find the international maritime museum with the largest private maritime collection in the world. This car system was developed by the team of the MiWuLa. Yes, there were slot cars long before but this is new. Each car is powered by it's own rechargeable batteries. Each car can be made to turn off at specific intersections by computer control through the magnetic wire set into the road surface and a tiny RC controller. The cars travel along under their own power along a thin, magbetic strip in the road. When a car's batteries run low they receive the signal to automatically return to their charging stations where they are also automatically recharged through their two outside contacts: the two side mirrors. This is just one of the many technological miracles these guys have worked. I haven't seen the race track in Monaco yet, but it must be even crazier as the race cars are supposed to be able to pass each other. I'm not certain about that, but I definitely wouldn't put it past those guys to have come up with a solution for that problem. Edit: yeah, that voice over is terrible. Even I as a German get really cringey with it. 😖😉🤣

If the little boy in you still remembers the dream of a huge model train set, but you were neither crazy nor brave enough to try it, then head to Hamburg and bring your inner preschool boy back to life. And if you're a kerosene junkie, don't miss *Terminal Tango at Hamburg Airport,* with it's functional and true-to-original model of Hamburg Airport. The planes don't disappear behind a curtain after take-off, no! They fly narrated through the auditorium, over the visitors and past radio beacons before completing their circuit again on the runway. In addition, you can also take a bus tour of the real airport afterwards. For the sake of fairness, it should be noted that the airport model was born in the 1960s and cannot keep up with the Miniatur Wunderland. Aviation enthusiasts at the airport and Lufthansa aircraft maintenance operate and maintain the model in their free time. At the turn of the year they update all structural changes at the airport.

It's worth several trips. I have been there multiple times and everytime they had something new (eg Brazil and Monaco with F1). Plan at least half a day (if not two) and book tickets in advance.

I was there with my son 2 years ago, it's totally sooooo good. You need at least the whole day for a visit. It's just next level, a world wonder. We left there and kept saying: this was unbelievable!

Been there. I am not in any way interested in model trains but everyone recommended it and it is indeed surprisingly entertaining. Extremely impressive and fascinating miniature world they created there. And that was a few years ago, the whole thing is way bigger by now.

That little gas station always has the correct gas prices because a computer downloads them from time to time from the homepage of the oil company and forwards them to that tiny display. Now THAT'S perfection!!

It's absolutely worth it. First time I've been there I've spent 6hrs in there and I had to rush through some of the sections still. 😃 And there are a lot more things to explore in Hamburg besides just the miniatur wunderland.

Its more than worth a trip, i have been there, and its been a mindblowing experience. Gonna go there again soon, since the newly opened the section of Monaco, with the FAMOUS F1-race track. And i didnt see all on my first visit.

This video is very, very outdated. The Miniatur Wunderland (or MiWuLa for short) is currently at 11 different finished sections. After the finishing construction of the airport in 2016 they built Italy (from the Vesuvius, past the Amalfi Coast, to Rome, Venice and Tuskany) and still working on Monaco (with Formula 1 track)/Souther France and South America. Since the space inside the original building is limited they built a real bridge into the neighbouring building over a canal and started with Rio de Janeiro and the Copacabana beach. They opened a small section of Patagonia and currently work on the Atacama Desert and the Anden Mountains. The current track length is 16.5km (~10 Miles), they have nearly 1.200 trains, 300 moving cars, ~50 flying objects at the airport (including a Space Shuttle, the Concorde aircraft or the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars). All cables used to power the display and all the lights would reach from Hamburg (the location of the MiWuLa) to New York (and probably beyond). They passed 1.000.000 working hours several month ago, and they employ more than 440 people (sales, service, bistro/restaurant, maintenance, technicians, modellers, tour guides etc.). The display is open every day of the year, and during german holidays it is even open from 7am to 1am. If you do the long trip just for the Miniatur Wunderland, I would say it depends on your interests. If you are into modelling and trains then sure, come along. I have met australianes who came to Hamburg just to see the exhibition for 3 days straight. You can spend a whole day in the exhibition, but it also can get exhausting for first-timers (due to the amount of details). I often say, jokingly: "In the past, people came to Hamburg and visited the Wunderland. Now they come to the Wunderland and visit Hamburg". But you could also just plan half a day, and just "dip your toe" and see if it interests you. If not, Hamburg itself is a beautifull city (as many have already commented) with lots of water and greenery and it is also a good launchpad for daytrips to Stade, Lüneburg or Lübeck (all old, partly medieval towns), to Berlin or even to Copenhagen or Stockholm (via Sleeper-train)

Definitely it is worth far more then only one visit. The Video is quite old. Meanwhile MIWULA has grown until it as necessary to connect to the next warehouse via a bridge. New sections have been added like Rio de Janeiro (Including the Carnival) and Patagonia, Monaco etc. Consequently the numbers of trains, wagons etc exceeds the numbers from the video... If you visit, try to get a Ticket for the "Behind the Scenes" Tour. They'll lead you through the backstage showing the work and the equipment... it is quite impressive. And - at least two days. It has grown to big to see everything on one day.

Haha :) I am german and even I wondered who this Sir Face is :P I've been in the Miniature Wunderland some times. I would not go suggest to have a long trip to Hamburg 'only' for that also because you might visit it for only a few hours. But generally, there is so much to do and see in and around hamburg that if you plan to be close to hamburg you have to go there! Make sure to get tickets looooooong time in advance.

hamburg is worth a trip without the wunderland already, its the 2nd biggest city in the country and it has the 2nd biggest european harbor after rotterdam. plenty to explore there - but the wunderland requires an entire day, i can tell you that.

if this kind of action is good to entertain you, i definetly can recommend going there for a visit. tons of different scenes, tons of "easter-eggs", tons of details to discover. over the time they expanded the wunderland. now it's on several floors on the one side of the river and recently (1 or 2 years ago i guess) they built a bridge to the other river side to connect the two equal looking buildings of the "Speicherstadt". the building process was also reenacted in the Miniaturwunderland. nowadays they should have finished the Formula 1 raceway of Monaco (there should be a youtube video of the opening event with ex F1 driver Nico Roßberg) with independant programmed cars, to have a different race every time (at least that was the plan, never saw it running in the final stage). i was there before they expanded to the other riverside. to be honest, one day (or several hours) was way too short to experience all of it. after they had expanded i think two days are minimum to enjoy it without having to hurry through (except you wanna go jogging through all stages ^^). so it's a yes from me, same for the vlog :) EDIT: F1 is not ready... shouldn't be that long until opening, but no date given.
