@@RealFansSports Lol … off course they are competitive. And there sure are someone who got p****d. But he had such a joyful and “lets just have fun” personality, that most just enjoyed play with - and against - him. There are even stories of defenders on opposing teams coming up to him before a match, asking him not to make them look ridiculous, cuz a gf or a talent scout would be present at the match. Everyone - all over Europe - regarded him as a brilliantly talented player, who let the fun back into the game. Sadly though - he was kinda instrumental in his own short career. He was also into partying and staying out all night, and not too keen on the team practices, which often led him into trouble with various trainers. Everyone wanted to trade jersey with him after a match. The thing about getting mad at him for making them look stupid … many knew they didn’t stand a chance against him. And that was overall accepted. So the sentiment was sort of “why get mad when we really are unable to do anything”. His joy was contagious on the pitch. Team mates and opponents have all shared the same thoughts of him making his presense felt all over the pitch, simply because he was “just a kid running around a dirt pit, kicking a ball around.” (Which all types of sports should be 😉.)

Nah. Regardless of what he did to you on the pitch, first, you respected him. They were all elite, competitive athletes but this was like it is not the part of the competition. The keeper could easily get that ball, but he was caught off guard, because everybody and their mom thought Ronaldinho would cross it for someone to head, you can see the goalkeeper out of the goal, prepared to catch it before anyone else, so Ronaldinho shot in a way that would confirm their beliefs, but he aimed to the goal instead, like the massive troll he is 😂
@bananaslamma359 ай бұрын
"Is there a limitation to how long the player can rull with the ball on their head" Actually, yes - you're no longer allowed to do this at all in fact. Turns out that when you're doing this (or bouncing the ball on your head as you run past defenders) the only way to stop you is to foul you, so it's no longer allowed. That said, one of the things you'll learn about football is that in terms of showing off, showboating and ball acrobatics, it's actually generally considered an useless skill on the pitch, and it's more of a ball control exercise outside of it. You'll find compilation videos on youtube of amateurs doing crazy trick shots and ball control that wouldn't be able to hack it in pro football. Why am I mentioning this? To emphasize just how much of a MONSTER Ronaldinho was for being able to do it on the pitch. People just don't understand how crazy it is that he was able to showboat and screw around with the ball, not against static dummies or amateurs, but against the very best football players in the world.

And altho we (my generation) call it 5's.. referring to the amounts of players. We will play anything from 1 man Champs. ! goal keeper, and as many out field players that are around and hanging out. Last person to score is out. Until down to the last 2. We do play upto 3 man champs. (unlimited teams of 3, 1 goal, elimination kinda thing), but more that 3 players in a side will pretty much require 2 goalies. Basically a mini game. We have indoor and outdoor 5 a side leagues. We play this as soon as we can walk. Probs why we are so naturally decent with a ball at our feet.

Then he'd go onto the pitch and make the difference. When he had the ball other players could make runs and take positions safe in the knowledge that he wouldn't lose it and he'd find them with a pass, or use then as a decoy. He was pure talent and played for the joy of playing. The other players were only there for his amusement (not in a nasty way).

Goalkeeper trick isn't his idea THB. That was first seen on TV by George Best when playing fro Northern Ireland against England. Oh, and you should check out Bestie. He played at a time quite different from Ronadinho and Messi et al. In Best's day each team he played against designated a player to stop him at all costs. In those days a legal tackle was anything below neck level. Chelsea had a player nicknamed Chopper Harris, guess why. Unfortunately Best was quite literally the best and it made little difference. If he'd played for a country likely to make it the World Cup regularly he'd have been more widely recognised. 4:27 This part is just not true exactly, that came about more in the 90's Ronaldinho's peak (and most of this Video) is early 00's. Tactics today are just evolutions of old systems. Pep Guardiolas, total football tika taka style(today) is an evolution of Cruyff's total football(90's/00's), which was an evolution of of Michels total football(60's) which was his version of the Hungarian systems of the 50's. Incidentally , Klopp and Guardiola both today use systems that really on the same pressing ideas, and also a return of the WM formations which have not really been in top tier use since the 50's Its slightly different today because they defend in 451/433 set ups, but they attack in a WM, many teams do this now. Tactics are cyclical and the progress is actually far slower from a wider lens. , If I am correct BTW, we will see a return of 442 to counter things like WM as we did in eth 60's and 70's, but it will be with a twist when compared to the old 442 systems, I dont know what the twist will be , but I predict in the next 5 years ...that is where we are headed tactically I agree Ronaldinho has mad natural ability as well as many hours just playing with a football so he can actually manifest that potential
