Also, next time you boot, it takes a long time during which the display says that it's installing updates, with a progress bar that takes a long time to get past some value. So it didn't _completely_ install updates prior to poweroff. Yes, it happens to often recently, that my computer is just only restarting instead to shut down as promised an the PC is still running at log-on screen after updating. In the past that shut-down after updating feature seemed/used to be more reliable?

Besides Windows is configured by default to never shut down but saves the RAM state to the drive, so it can just load it significantly speeding up the booting process. But that also means, that Windows won't get a freshened up state, or to be precise, you won't get rid of any faulty states in the RAM by using the default shut down procedure. But I doubt that the meme was meant this technical.

When i agree to restart my pc or shut it down, Win tries to install it, gives up for some unknown reasons, and shows me something like "Rebuild system to the earlier state". This whole crap needs 20 minutes. 20 minutes for nothing. And i can't disable updates. So my solution is, to go into energy saving mode, switch of the power. When i need to use it, i swtich on the power, it starts, windows thinks, it was in energy saving mode, i use the logout to have the logon screen, now Win 10 deletes the RAM, i login again, and have to adjust the energy mode for CPU and GPU, so my PC don't uses so much energy. Yeah that is my daily routine, when i use my PC. I could install Win 10 complete from scratch, but i have installed dozens of games on it. reinstall them all would need 1-2 days.
