Why do you think people are better off not being able to do harm to others? Bad people can do harm to others without an ar 15, they can obtain an ar 15 without obeying laws too, so why would you want to restrict the rights of law abiding citizens that can use an ar 15(for example) to protect themselves and others. Also why should the government have any weapon at their disposal and the people can’t? If you’re pro democracy wouldn’t that mean you want the people to have the power? Do you think that we do have the power? And that the people having guns would be important for us to maintain whatever freedom we have? Maybe I overdid that, I just think there are so many good points to be made in favor of freedom of firearms and weapons in general and the arguments for gun control are ridiculous.

Until gun proponents start admitting that there are stupid people with guns and they shouldn't be allowed to have them we're going to disagree. Assault rifle = military firearm that is chambered for ammunition of reduced size or propellant charge and that has the capacity to switch between semiautomatic and fully automatic fire. Because they are light and portable yet still able to deliver a high volume of fire with reasonable accuracy at modern combat ranges of 1,000-1,600 feet (300-500 metres), assault rifles have replaced the high-powered bolt-action and semiautomatic rifles of the World War II era as the standard infantry weapon of modern armies.
