safe to say...Ari stole the show in the beginning- WoW! This performance really convalesces into a nice bluesy jazz groove after the initial tasteful sonic charge of the light brigade- Ari is flowing majestic magnetic in jazz rock land and the drums are TIGHT and SOLID. Whoa! check this Drummer! Such evolving intensity and lively fills~! Bass is the back bone- let's face it! Ayla has magnetic timing and tone at the 1:59 mk she is shining sonic brilliance- let's face it; not to mention excellent accent chords early on with Ari's lead. Tight knit groove machine musicianship / trade -off of the lead and rhythm- Bass JUST holds it all together -like sonic glue After experiencing this entire video I just thought- Wow- haven't seen many high profile Guitar show down competitions with female guitarists - ...maybe it's time for a movie like the original : Crossroads but with female stars- remember Paganini's 5th Caprice at the end of that movie with Ralph Macchio? Well- I doubt any film maker will come close to that original magic again- I think Steve Vai/ RY Cooder and one other guitarist are responsible for the music- but Ralph really played his part right, too.

What were the high screeches? Is that the microphonic issues from the Texas Tea ultra with anodized pick guard? We know these do that at higher volumes due to the aluminium pickguard. It´s almost like I can read it on her face that she´s struggling with it
@DaveInkster2 жыл бұрын
Had to return my Texas Tea Ultra due to the anodized pickguard being microphonic. I had exactly the same high pitched feedback you can clearly hear from 2.14- 3.15. Fender wouldn't acknowledge the pickguard was the problem, despite dozens of others experiencing exactly the same problem, and folk fixing the issue immediately by switching out the ionized pickguard. Still can't get my head around that Fender's own video clearly demonstrates the problem throughout the Texas Tea solo...

The blond girl was on key for like 25 seconds of her whole solo. I wanted to say “ooo jAZZY” but I kinda couldn’t still. But I also get that she had the wailing of the amp to worry about and was probably stressed at how that sounded. I’ll cut her some slack I’m sure she’s a super good guitarist otherwise. I sure couldn’t pull off any of the things she did if I was even on pitch. I dug her tone too
@jeff___58565 жыл бұрын
Austin Miller huh? Do ur ears work? 95% of that was in key and any of the “out of key” licks were definitely intentional
@AylaGuitar5 жыл бұрын
Austin Miller Aside from a few chromatic moments to build tension, pretty much all of the notes I played were centred around the Eb minor pentatonic scale, obviously filling in the space with some other modal flavours and chromaticism because we were jamming in Eb Dorian. Playing “out of key” to build tension in one’s playing IS very common in jazz, fusion, etc., but definitely is an acquired taste! I can understand why not everyone would dig it. All notes and phrases were intentional, and that’s really cool that you liked my tone. Thank you. :)
