To echo other comments in this section, Jim's dad is AWESOME!!!! No matter the circumstances, he was always there for Jim. Even when the mom was embarrassed in other movies, Jim's dad pressed on and was there for his son. The way he says, "My Son" just hits the feels. I think it was perfect having him there for the proposal.
