Guys, I usually find American review and explanation hard to watch. Be it word or phrase difference between countries I don't know! sometimes it seems like it's an advert not a review. This has been an eye opener. It explains how to choose and why you should buy quality over quantity. I Thank you for straight forward to the point no crap reviews. If you still read comments. This video let me know if there is others on this type of subjects. Thanks

Amazing knowledge at that table thanks. You all need to try so Daisy’s for pesting and plinking distances out to 50 and at speeds around 900 FPS. For $7 for 500 the beat bang for the buck. Gamo Red Fire I think are what their next step would be if they put the tip in and locked it in. Both weigh the same without it and both are made in Spain under the same roof. Effective, massive expansion, accurate, clean and high quality. Awesome deal in my book and after shooting around 10- 12,000 of them over the past year have become my go to pellet. The forgotten Gem that nobody ever even mentions.

Good discussion. :) Bought me a Sig MCX airrifle. Thought I'd buy RWS Meisterkugelns for it cuz they having such a good name (bought a whole pack of 10 tins while at it.. :D ).. Well. Turned out that they were not good for that particular rifle at all. Had lotsa jams. Started shooting inexpensive Gamo Match wadcutters with it - cuz those pellets are also easy to find everywhere here in Finland. Has worked without jams ever since. Shoots approx 2" groups on 20 metres. Enough for me - but after this video, I would like to find and try out some more quality domed pellets with the MCX, just to see if the grouping would actually reduce in size.. And the 10 tin pack of RWS Meisterkugelns? Not money poorly spent after all. They are awesome pellets for higher powered Umarex pistols with the 8-shot rotary magazine. I shoot Meisterkugels with my Walther CP88 Competition and the Desert Eagle. Gotten some good small groups with those. :)

As a newbie, I love these discussions. I learn a lot. I realize this video is 3 years old. However, the camera pans out so far I can't see what you guys are pointing at. I'm buying a Gamo swarm .22 tomorrow. For the price, it's the best fit for what I want. Ground hog control for work and ground squirrel shooting for me. I am very attracted to the magazine aspect. I'm trying to learn all I can so I can have a better understanding of what is completely new to me. Maybe you could revisit this topic? Seems like airgun technology is growing in leaps and bounds however, I am seeing how this topic will be relevant for a very long time. Thanks.

I solved the problem of a box full of pellet tins quite simply. I use empty baby wipe plastic containers. The bigger ones that are like 5" wide by 10" long or so. Shaped like a white plastic loaf pan with a snap lid. They hold a lot of tins of pellets and stack like dunnage containers on my metal wire shelf in the man cave. I also use them to contain small, spare rifle parts and such. Very handy!

Question for those more savvy out there - I have a Crosman Diamondback Nitro gas piston rifle in 5.5mm / 0.22" - it is very variable regarding accuracy at 50 yards (Niko 4-12 x 50mm scope) I get the best results using the RWS Super Field or Super Domed pellets 15 Gr. - Super Point are terrible they are always firing low and left and cannot get decent consistency. What sort of grouping would you expect to be acceptable for this rifle at 50 yards? I can get it to about 1 inch at best, some of this is down to me, some is down to the trigger which is horrible, so how much is down to the pellets? What grouping do you expect from a gun like this - break barrel? Sm I expecting too much to get 1/2" at this range? (gun is fired from standing position, on a rest with a soft support underneath - I also find that accuracy is also very dependant upon how I hold / support the gun with my hand under the front stock - any pressure or tension here makes it much less accurate. suggestions welcome, pellet recommendations too - RWS is probably the best pellets here, but I might be able to get the Diablo's but maybe they are a bit on the heavy side, thanks!

i bought 2,000 rounds of Vortex Strike .25 cal pellets and learned very quickly to shop around first, I had to clean every one of them individually so far because the lack of quality control by that company. Okay, okay, so SERIOUS question then, guns that are dual ammo, like the Umarex SA10 or the GAMO PT85... should we NEVER shoot standard 4.5mm bb’s from these guns? Or is the rifling special to allow both ammo types? The Umarex SA10 for example; has a Rifled Bore. 20:22

The sample packs are a great idea. However, if you buy the Gamo pack, all the pellet weights are the same. The only difference is the type of point. (wadcutter, hp, conical, etc.) Which is great if your gun likes that weight of pellet. The ones with the asst. weights are much better.

Hey guys, I have quite the question and I'm hoping someone can help me! I will be purchasing a 22 caliber discovery soon and am hunting around for the optimum pellet grain to use (I intend to hunt rabbit, and like-sized small game). I realize that there is a point after which a heavier pellet does no additional good on a given power plant, so I suppose that's my first q: What is the heaviest pellet I can use on a disco while maintaining enough velocity for a clean kill (bc I was itching to try the 30 grain H&N Piledrivers or the H&N Rabbit Magnum II @ 24.90 some grain)? My 2nd question is, alternatively what is a good standard average grain pellet for the powerplant in the disco as my lighter grain or everyday pellet (as I would like to have this "standard" or lighter pellet for velocity and a much heavier albeit effective pellet)?
@sonudilli24508 жыл бұрын
the best weight will be the pellet which comes out of the mussel at 900fps. this is the maximum stable velocity.
@jerroldshelton93676 жыл бұрын
I shoot Beeman R-9's in .177 and .20. On my indoor range, whatever flat-head or "wadcutter" pellet delivers best accuracy is fine, but I'd rather shoot outside, and for that, I want the ballistic coefficient (BC) to be .020 or higher, so the choice becomes what out of choosing from Beeman FTS, Crosman Premier, JSB Exact, or others known for high (by pellet gun standards) BC. High BC = less drag, higher velocity retention, flatter trajectory, and reduced wind drift.

I shoot a large male squirrel at 20 yds. on a wire, hit him on the spine drop him instantly using an RWS .22 wadcutter pellet that opened a large open cavity that severed it's spine !! wadcutters are effective at shorter ranges & has equally or more devastating impact on critters at this range!!

no air guns like PBA rounds... theyre worthless. theyre too light... way too expensive... and too loud. and as you said... tin is very hard on the bore of your rifle. if you want to use non lead ammo... use those ones that are steel encased in a plastic jacket... those seem to be decent. ive been told that Predator also makes pretty decent non lead rounds too.

@americanairgunhunter8 жыл бұрын
It is possible that you hit a glancing blow to the skull without penetrating to the brain. If this was the case, you "knocked him out". There is quite a bit of the head that won't kill an animal. You want to try to sink the pellet in the brain for a fast clean kill. This is my guess, I've had it happen with pigeons, Guinea fowl, hogs, and coyotes over the years.
@Adem198118 жыл бұрын
