I absolutely love your channel! It helps me so much with my positions, I am a beginning flyer and I just quit 10 years of gym so there is kind of a change for me! lol. But I just wanted to thank you bc I have a lot of trouble with keeping my butt in when im flying and I now kind of have a low confidence level when I fly, I was just wondering if there id anything you maybe think about while in the air that could maybe help me???

I'm 13 (nearly 14) and I'm 5'2" but have stopped growing and I'm around 95lb. I've done dance for a while and I'm very flexible, do you think I would be a good flyer? If you don't think so plz don't say I would, I want to know honestly what stunting position I would be best in😊💗.

+Alli H I think you would be a great flyer! We are both around the same size, and come from a dance/flexibility background. Take coed stunting privates - learning to balance in the air might be a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze! 💖

can you guys help me? i'm also a flyer and i would say i'm flexible. i can do a bow and arrow, heel stretch, scale and scorpion, but not a needle. i'm same size as you both but i'm sth like 110lbs (if google works right) and i really think i gotta lose weight quickly. do you guys have any tips?

Alli H if you are in a higher level you would most definitely be a great flyer also remember your weight doesn’t matter that much as long as you can balance yourself

sawyer edwards if you are already eating healthy keep doing that but if you aren’t try to and I think a workout would be a really good option and there’s a bunch of videos on KZbin how to lose Weight

Lily Upchurch the Weight kind of matters because I’m a base and even if they are really flexible and can balance if the base can’t lift them they are not going to be a flyer

I'm not a cheerleader but this helps with my track and field since I need to be flexible with my jumps and hurdles (that back bend killed me though)

can you plzz make video of how to schedule our stretching and strengthening like how many days should we stretch.and hw many days to strengthen those stretched muscles so that we can do tilts and leg holds and stuff like that :-)

+Subi music great idea! I recommend stretching at least 3-4x a week - also add on my tutorials for learning specific skills. I am doing videos on tilts and leg holds next, stay tuned! :)

Should I be doing the "exercise" portion first so that my muscles are semi-warmed before stretching? As of right now I just run a few miles before hand. But have you noticed any differences?

I usually stretch first, that's my personal preference. However, if you find that having your muscles warmed up helps you stretch, do the exercise portion first. 👍

hey erica! i've always been "the inflexible one" in my entire life and i can barely stretch my legs apart 90 degrees, but i signed up for competitive cheer this year (i'm 15 this year). do you think it's too late to start improving my flexibility? thanks!

Stay REALLY tight when you go to extension. You could also have your coaches base you in an extension - they’ll be more experienced so it’ll be easier to stabilize!

I need help with standing backhand springs. When i do them my legs fly everywhere!!! I don't know how to keep my legs as tight or what im doing wrong. Because I can't keep my legs tight when I am doing standing backhand springs!!!

This is a nice video! But very extreme i recommend that if you hold each stretch for 30 seconds and hold splits for as long as you can and working to this do not push yourself this hard at first work your way into it!

And also for the strengthening portion, start with 2 sets of 10 or however you want but i recommend starting slow and working you way up there

I Wanna be a flyer so bad and i am flexible. Does it matter how much your Weight is? And we allready have 2 flyers witch is the lightest peoples i the team and i am the same Weight as them...So i don't think i have and chance to ba flyer😔 and i don't think my team can chance out flyers now beacuse we have competition in 21 days❤️😢 pleas help 💕 ILYSM

Size/weight doesn’t determine whether or not someone is a good flyer. Show your coach your skills and ask to try some stunts! 👍

Weigh doesn't really matter tbh. I've based a 100 pound girl and a 140 pound girl before. I mean yeah it's good to keep in shape for cheer but it comes down to keeping tight and holding your weight as a flyer and the bases will love you.
