It is very disappointed in diabetes research, frankly sucks. Sorry for saying that. People are talking talking the old subject for 10 , 20 years. For example CGM it is so obvious this is a breakthrough for diabetes research , a system much much better than mouse systems. Nobody mentioned it. So reduce funding in mouse study and funding studies using CGM as monitors to determine effectiveness of drugs nutrition those can improve glucose level.
