Wow good to see Milwaukee has actually made significant improvements instead of just putting out another tool thats more or less the same tool as the last version. 👍

@americandream_89 I'm interested in putting one by the brush chipper so my guys don't have to pull a starter cord or leave a saw idling the whole time. It's just a lot of money to spend on a machine that only cuts for a little while and then you have to get out a battery charger

The new dual battery chainsaw is not a replacement for the old one. It’s on a completely different level and is meant for hard core pro use where as the old one is for home owners that might use it around there house a few times a year.

We use the old one daily going through a chain almost monthly they are great. I’m hopeful that the new updates get implemented in that one as this duel battery one is hefty for small task. Duel battery one is next level tough for sure

But not everyone can afford a $1000.00 saw, and then two more batteries at $500.00 are needed to compete with a $200.00 - $500.00 gas saw....
@americandream_8920 күн бұрын

@@americandream_89 I was referring to gas powered saws. I would by a gas saw before paying $1,000.00 to cut my firewood up, and even then one would need $1000,00 worth of batteries to keep up with 50cc gas saw. But for just cutting a few sticks I'd go with EGO at $500.00 or something cheaper.........
@americandream_8920 күн бұрын
@ I knew what you was referencing. What I’m saying is I don’t think you’re gonna spend 200 to 500 on a saw and have the power that the Milwaukee does. this Milwaukee is replacing an MS 391 stihl which cost $600 minimum. The Milwaukee comes with two batteries that cost 200 apiece. I paid 800 for the Milwaukee. So if you consider the two batteries costing 400. The chainsaw cost me 400. You cannot purchase a chainsaw that will be even close to the Milwaukee for $400.

To know for sure whats faster someone needs to do a real world test of something like 144 NON stop cuts in 16" hard wood, then compare cost to said race.... But I have to retract or tweak former comment, I wouldn't pay $1000,00 for battery saw if my back was feeling better, a sore back is making me look at battery saws, just so I can still cut a few trees and cut up some firewood, One thing I like about Milwaukee saw is battery can be used in other tools like circular saw. But I also think chainsaw companies should go back to electric start then I wouldn't have any interest in battery saws......... Curiously, they simply don't make powerful plug-in saws. They top out at 15A, which at 110V is only 1.6 kW. These 20" battery saws (Milwaukee, Greenworks Commercial, Ego) easily pump over 3 kW, this new Milwaukee even claims over 4 kW with the right battery!
