King Boomer. I started watching you in January after a car hit me and ripped a leg off. I had a lot of time to myself in hospital and finding distractions to the pain was a must. Watching you and the Queen discover some of the things that have made me laugh over the years has been like watching them again for the first time and sharing the experiences with someone who really appreciates comedy in the same way I do. Keep it going you muppet.

Sean only did 4 stand-up DVDs of his own, plus various Live at the Apollo appearances. He was generally more known for his appearances on game shows though. Just by the nature of being a team captain on 8 out of 10 Cat's does countdown, he had a lot of air-time on that show. His stand up is great, but I think he was most known for his quick-witted reactions to things on the show and to his random mascots and rants.

@@yute-hube779 So much unfiltered content came out of UK from basically the 80's, 90's 2000's and on that it was just normal for us, same with the US Bill Hicks, Carling are up there. It's just nice to see people finding it you know? I connected with the inbetweeners because it was very similar to my upbringing and experience. You can't fake the truth, it shows. Probably my personal favourites are when they smoked a bit of....... it's funny because it's true and that awkward but hilarious dance over to the girls in a dead club in the first movie ;)

For context (if you didn’t already know): Morrison’s is a grocery store chain in the UK. The Longleat ad where he says “If you hit me at 40 miles per hour…” was taken from a UK PSA on driving at speed in residential areas. It was describing what happens to a child hit by a car at various speeds. Sean’s humour was quite dark and sometimes surreal. That’s why I enjoyed it.

4:10 It does describe most Brits, we're very sarcastic and blunt which comes as a surprise to many Americans because the stereotype for us is that we're polite and nice, well the second one is true - we are nice, we just speak our minds if we like someone and we're comfortable around them. There's a saying that if a Brit is taking the piss out of you or swearing a lot then it means they like you, it's when we are polite that you have to be worried because that is when you've pissed us off. Two brits before an argument will be talking shit to each other but when the argument starts they become serious and polite and will say things like "I'd kindly like you to walk away now." It's a very weird juxtaposition. In the UK and Australia the word cunt can actually be used as a term of endearment. "You know Simon? He's a good cunt." I think that sums it up perfectly.

Diseases get their names from a variety of sources - from Latin or Greek root words, from place names, from the clinician who discovered them, or a well-known patient who had them.
