easiest rule to speak german words in english pronounce letters you can see the "e" in the end in german is just normaly pronounced, i dont know why english came up with the idea to have the E in the end silent always but thats not the case in german xD

Put simply, the silent e in English would have been pronounced historically, but that sound faded out around the late Middle English/ Early Modern English period. That's also when the Great Vowel Shift started (most English vowel sounds changed over the course of 300 years). This is also when French (Norman) stopped being the official court language and English, which was previously the peasant language, became standard at all levels of society.

The Haribo one is "Goldbären" and yes, it means Gold Bears or Golden Bears, although we usually refer to them as "Gummibären" or "Gummibärchen" (Gummy Bears or Little Gummy Bears... The "-chen" at the end of a word shows the smaller or cuter version of something. Like the "-chan" in Japanese. 😂)

19:17 Of course the "L" pronunciation is there. 24:20 "Goldbären" means "golden bears" (plural). "Gold bear" (singular) would be "Goldbär". But please note that while the German "a" is pronounced like the English "a" in "car", the "ä" (with the two dots) is pronounced like the English "a" in "care"! So the German word "Bär" sounds almost exactly the same as the English "bear" (except for the "r" being different in the American accent). 🙂

They where only available in the US (and maybe Canada) at the "Bodyculture" - Times when every Company has had to offer "sugar free" (coke zero, 7up free, ...) versions of their products. Because Gummibears are "cooked" when produced they could only use artificial sugar that survives heat (Xillit) and a known side effect of Xillit in higher doses is flatulence and diarrhea.

And yes, he definitely has German ancestors. 😉 The Scharzkopf brand goes back to the chemist and pharmacist Hans Schwarzkopf, who opened the “paint, drug and perfumery store” on Passauer Strasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg in 1898. What? Mecedes A-Klasse, B-Klasse (A-class, B-class) aren't luxury cars at all. Their whole product range is indeed used and owned by people from every level of German society and not just rich people. Even if some were purchased as pre-owned cars, in order to be able to afford them in the first place. But I guess it is true, that Mercedes is more like a luxury brand with additional cheaper "entry level" products.

yes the German "F" has the same pronunciation as the English "F". There is not really a rule, when to use "F" and when to use "V", but they are generally pronounced the same in German. It even happens, that they are in the same word with the same sound: "verfallen" (="expire") is pronounced "fer-fall-en".

The reason must be etymological. Though it is peculiar that they both co-exist like that. Usually when sounds shift and merge, another sound/letter has to move as well or disappear. Dutch for examples doesn't really have the letter 'f' apart from some foreign loanwords and uses 'v' in cognate words where German uses 'f' (vrijheid, voetbal, vriend vs Freiheit, Fußball, Freund) but also has 'v' where German uses 'v' (verachten, vader, van vs verachten, Vater, von). Benz is pretty accurate, many people shorten the brand to just Benz. The Daimler-Benz AG which builds all the Mercedes cars is a merger between the companies of Carl Benz (inventor of the motor car, 1886) from Mannheim, Germany and Gottlieb Daimler (creator of the motor carriage) from Stuttgart, Germany. Both already had big factories in their cities when the merger happened in 1926. To this day people in Mannheim work at Benz, and those in Stuttgart at Daimler. f = f, w = v, v = f/v, depending on the stressed syllable of the word in Old Germanic (some 20 centuries ago). There is no rule to distinguish between the both in modern German, so you just have to learn the pronunciation. You still have different pronunciations depending on the stress in one word pair: Hannover (capital of Lower Saxony) is pronounced "hu-NO-fuh" and Hannoveraner (person from Hannover or a horse breed named after the city) is pronounced "huh-no-ve-RUH-nuh"

In Luxembourg I don't think we can find any sugarfree Haribos. Maybe in Munich, Stuttgart and other regions with income above the average Audi, BMW and Mercedes are regular. But by price and in most cases by quality they are premium brands. In numbers, they're far away from being the majority on the streets. You will see lots of Volkswagen (VW, Skoda, Seat), Toyota, Ford, Opel and other Asian and European brands. The older premium models (pre 2010) are popular because quality is still good, spare parts are available (original or 3rd party) and service can be done by oneself with some experience.

Indeed, in Schwarzkopf the f is pronounced. In northern Germany people might also say "Kopp" without the f. The Reason is the same as for "Apfel" and "Appel" (Apple in English). Northern Germany has historically a closer language-link to Dutch and English. If you want to know more i recommend the Wikipedia article on the High German consonant shift.
