David has an honours degree majoring in history, and is obviously a very smart guy. But to be fair, Lee did quite well in school, also has a tertiary degree, and is also an extremely smart dude. They banter together brilliantly. Then Rob chips in with his impish humour and then the guests of course add to it - the show is just perfectly balanced. It's genius.

The part about Bob being arrested over wearing masks that I just now realized is, this was all happening during the height of the Troubles in Ireland and Castle Douglas is near Northern Ireland so it was quite possible the police initially thought they were IRA because who else wears masks in the middle of the day, which would explain the CID (plain clothes) being present.

So happy that you like WILTY, 8 out of 10 Cats-Countdown etc. I know you llike Greg Davies so I suggest you guys try and (somehow) get to see Greg in his own sit-com called "The Cleaner" It's an English version of a German comedy of the same name. It's a real Greg Davies scenario about a single, 50's ish guy whose job is the cleaner who goes to works after the Police and the CSI people have finished at the crime scenes. He cleans up all the blood, bodily fluid, bone and other bodily remains. Dark but very funny. guest cameos by Helena Bonham-Carter and other well known names such as David Mitchell litter the two series currently availaable. I give two thumbs-up and 5 stars, enjoy! Also congrats on 100K!

Is there any particular reason why you haven’t got around to Taskmaster yet? It seems like something that you’d both thoroughly enjoy. I mean Bob Mortimer, Lee Mack, Catherine Ryan, Josh Widecombe, Jon Richardson amongst many others, have all been contestants. *Edit* Oh and there are oysters in Oyster Sauce, a fact I am very aware of as a vegetarian.

@@megs4193 I can’t claim to speak for the whole of the U.K. I can only give you my opinion. It’s not worth much though, as I’ve never seen Ponderland and I’ve kind of avoided anything Russell Brand since he began thinking of himself as a political commentator and was telling people not to vote. Don’t get me wrong, I’m quite partial to a bit of political satire, observational comedy and comedians that just plain rip the ‘p’ out of politics and politicians but he was taking himself too seriously. I would likely describe myself as being woke but I really wasn’t fussed one way or the other about the whole Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross scandal, where they phoned Andrew Sachs…there’s nothing wrong with a bit of shock value in comedy. In general though, there are no doubt many that eagerly watch and enjoy everything he does, those who’ll be shouting about how he’s gone woke and those who won’t search him out but will but will watch him if he’s on.

About the Birmingham open university story: I don't know how it is in the UK, but in a lot of European countries pizza shops tend to be run by Asian immigrants. That is actually the most believable part of the story, though probably weird from an American perspective.

Bob has a point on the university thing though. If Adil's dad caught him in the street and told him to go to the university day, it must have been in the morning or lunch at latest. He wouldn't tell him to go to the open day in the late afternoon or evening. So he must have got the coach to Bradford in the morning and would therefore have time to come back. Whether there is actually an open day or not is irrelevant. So the timing doesn't add up

The best part about the first story told is that later on in the show Mel has to tell a somewhat embarrassing story and ends up burying her face in those exact pants to hide her embarrassment. Josh did not know what he was doing when he gave her those pants!
