I installed a 2 spool valve for a an aftermarket 3 point hitch with 2 way cylinders. In my set up I secured the hydraulic pump in the on position, and plumbed via a Tee a return line from the 2 spool valve to the drain at the bottom of the belly pump. The second spool valve I plumbed in a set of remotes via quick couplers. The Farmall H hydraulic system makes about 850 - 900 psi and with properly sized hydraulic cylinders will pick up more than the front end weight can stabilize. I utilized a shot off valve before the 2 spool valve so I can utilize additional hydraulic ports ( 2 more of the 3 ) and run a 3 point hitch hydraulic log splitter. Everything works good, just limited by today's hydraulic pressure standards.

Thanks for the explanation of how it all works I definitely appreciate it a lot, and when I make this box blade I’m definitely gonna have to do what you have for quick connect. I have a 1945 farmall h, that I’m about to start changing all of the fluids in but this video does help a lot with the hydraulics

It’s been a couple of weeks Ed. Work has been crazy for both of us. I made this video on my phone this morning for a fella that commented and asked for help on another video. We’ve got tons of stuff we’ve shot but limited time to edit. Stay tuned, I’m planning a rainy day all day edit session soon!

Well I come back with another question for you. Say if I bought a PTO powered generator. How can I trick the tractor to spin the PTO at stop? I’m assuming engage the drive belt with the PTO engaged?

How about a video explanation? I’ll be glad to fire up my H and show you

That’d be awesome as well and make some more sense.

Thank you for this video, I just bought a farmall H and had no idea how the hydraulics worked till I saw your video. My question is do you have to make these attachments like Brady is referring to with his box blade? Or is this stuff you can buy at a tractor dealer or tractor supply or something like that?

I have found the belly pump is held up there with 4 bolts. And the casting is broke off in the corner on 1, of the 4. I just keep using it that way, so far. nothing has happen yet. I have another farmall, It's an H. The belly pump, if I need the loader for some thing, I add oil to use it. will drip for several months after that. till the oil is far enough drained back out. That's the first I should fix. this spring.

Either side works, but it makes sense to use the right side, the hoses are on the side you aren't getting on and off... She thinks your tractors sexy👍😎
