Failed to mention we needed to find a IAT sensor extension. I wouldn’t have spent the $500+ if I knew it didn’t come with all the parts needed. I don’t even know where to buy the extension needed.

Don't forget to install the crank case ventilation tube on the drivers side or you will get a check engine light.

@@Lance76239when did they change this? I installed this intake on my 23 and I didn’t instal the crank vent tube and I’m a week in without any codes being pulled

I put one on about 5,000 Mi ago if you want the loudest intake on the market go for it I thought it was a bit obnoxious for the first few weeks but I got used to it. Don't expect to break the tires free at any RPM it's making more noise than anything but you do notice a bit of horse and torque probably off my butt Dino 6 or so I paired it with some AMS turbo inlet tubes that's when you'll truly feel the difference I didn't get a check engine light with just the intake but when I put the tubes on I ended up getting one you're going to need to end up getting some tape for one of the holes on the intake if you have the vent to Atmosphere mod

Where are the factory attenuators / vortex rings? Noticed there missing when the intake was taken apart. I noticed .5 mpg less without them.

What about installing the crankcase tube? It says the check engine light will come on and mine did so I need help installing that.

I really could have used a heads up that the IAT sensor needs an extension. I’m Now waiting 9 more days for shipping on the harness extension. If it’s in the video, I missed it.

These guys miss the mark on the install!! No discussion about how the required crank case tube modification is installed (not to mention that Injen provides a crank case tube that won't fit a 2019). Also, tips on how to get the air temperature sensor re-routed would be helpful. Obviously they "skipped" that part. Just add another hour or two if you can even get it to reach!

I had the afe momentum gt worked amazing but couldn't hear the turbos so I did the injen and instantly 3rd time driving keep getting the crank case sensor codes

Do you even need the crank case tube for a 2015 3.5L eco? It doesn’t say in the directions whether or not you need to install it. I would assume you wouldn’t given the directions tell you to go for a test drive after installing the intake.

I would say more warm / hot air intake . Makes it look better and sound amazing, but please don’t expect any performance gains in real life or “breaking the rear tires loose in low gears” lol

There is a video showing and comparing air intake temps vs ambient, and this intake had a lot cooler intake temps than the stock intake vs ambient temps.

This specific kit would not fit on your 2.7L Ecoboost, also a catch can is not necessary for your truck but it would definitely help prevent your new engine from getting gunked up over time! -Zach

F-150 KING OF TRUCKS agree! For literally about the same price (depending on which tuner is chosen...mine was about $550 but there are less expensive ones), you get TONS of REAL power gains. Dyno on my E50 tune (from 5 Star) is 550 hp and 610 lb-ft at the wheels. Incredible!!

Not enough to ever pay for itself. At least the OEM box is a true "cold air" Check out some of the 3.5 tunes, and some of the horsepower and torque numbers guys are getting. Clearly the OEM airbox flows fine

I have one on and I got probably five or six pounds of boost more then stock was quite surprised but on horsepower and torque I wouldn't expect more than 6 to 7 on both

You have two options. #1 You can install the OEM intake before you take it to the dealership. #2 If your concern has nothing to do with the intake most and I mean most shops/dealers don’t even mention it. I am a Ford Service Advisor and as long as my customer is upfront and does not cause problems then myself and my colleagues look the other way so to speak.

I think it’s not a great idea to change to a cold air intake.. imo....

The air flow is measured by the velocity of air not the cubic mass so the PCM/Powertrain Control Module can adjust fuel trim and timing on the fly with no problem. I would take a seriously massive intake to cause the fuel injectors and timing advance yo throw a hard fault let alone a miss. If you wanna bounce any questions or ideas off me let me know!

@@americantrucks I would just like to confirm this absolutely fits perfectly for the 21-23 year. I installed it on my 23 Tremor this weekend without any issues bolted exactly like it should! You can go ahead and change the website to say it fits 15-23

Yeah this is terrible. The factory intake is a cold air intake. This might make the engine louder, but it's going to make performance worse.
