Hi, Dana! Thank you very much for the very nice video. I'm impressed by your beauty as well as your ability. How about using brainstorming to improve Eglish conversation skills?

Thanks a lot for your kind words! 🥰 How exactly would you like to use brainstorming?

@@danaenglish Once you have learned one word, brainstorm as many words associated with that word as possible. If you were my teacher, that would be the best motivation.😍
I recognize that most of Japanese are liable to persist in literary meaning in the dictionary. To put it another way, it means we have never been trying to get the core meaning of words. As one way of break-through, I insist on paraphrasing exercise is very effective.

Just in my opinion, Japanese expressions are very difficult and people, include me, try to translate into English directly. So people thinks that I have to know difficult English word.
Simple is the best. 本質はアウトプットをする事なので気楽に継続していきましょう!ありがとうございます!

When I heard 「九死に一生を得る」、the first phrase I thought of was "narrowly survive", and the second one was "survive by the skin of my teeth". What do you think about these, Dina?

Those could work, too!!

デイナ先生から英会話を習いたいです! 私はオーストラリア🇦🇺滞在中に5カ国喋れるマレーシア🇲🇾人のホストマザーから、 「You need more more practice speaking English!」と言われてしまいました…😅 まだまだ初級者レベルです……
I want to be able to speak English. But I was not so good at English when I was student. Moreover it's been a while from graduate. So probably I almost forgot them such as word, idiom and sentence. Lastly,I thought you are so great teacher when I watched this video. So I want you to teach but if you want.

Thank you! 😊 I’m sure that you will remember most of the things that you once knew, you just have to start studying again.

@@danaenglish もし私が外国人ならロシア語のキリル文字と韓国のハングル文字と膨大な文字を覚えるのと一緒ですからね。しかも、漢字も単語もこれだけ覚えたら終わりでなないんですから。ですから日本語を使いこなしている方を見るとそれだけで great communica tor です。I would like to applaud 'the great communicator'.

先生の動画はとても革新的で、素晴らしいです。さっそく実践してみます。(九死に一生を得る)の件ですが、Oh,God saved me ! もしくは、Thanks for God!または、 The heaven saved me. はどうでしょうか?ネイティブには通じますか?
