@J Williams we appreciate you coming through with the info!!!
@TheBlackQueen4 жыл бұрын
That's not necessarily true. While Freddie never came forward himself with the meaning of the song, the band have confirmed the meaning to be about a Faust-like story of a man who sells his soul and commits murder and is regained by Satan. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3593532.stm The theory of it being about Freddie coming out isn't likely because he wrote most of the song in the late 1960s before he was bisexual, and it was just a typical western murder song called "The Cowboy Song" at the time. The Opera and Hard Rock/Heavy Metal parts came well after but were seemingly already planned out in Freddie's head while recording.

The intro harmonization is just Freddie alone. This song was way before it's time in the early 70s. Rhapsody being the different genres of music thrown together. No band has done it before nor since. This will remain in music history. 1.15 billion views. No one really knows why Freddie wrote this. Some say it's his coming out song..killing his old self to be his own new person sexually. But Freddie would say if you see it darling then it's there. No one will ever know the meaning of it really. Queen were well known for their switch ups in music. Innuendo being another musical masterpiece..Freddie even sung opera in 87 with Montserrat Caballe. Barcelona being one of them.

@@Amicy Roger Brian and John were English..Freddie came from an Indian / Parsi backround in Zanzibar. His family fled to England for fear of persecution. They all have degrees and diplomas. Brian is an astrophysicist..the lead guitarist. They all met in the late 60s..around 68 or 69. One song was never the same. They did 30s style with Millionaires Waltz and Dreamers Dall. They did 60s Crazy little thing called love..an ode to Elvis if you like. Their very early style was very Rock n Roll.. Stone cold Crazy was considered the first kind of Thrash metal of it's time. They mixed genres. Never one song like the song before. Or Album. They were never contained to one sound.

Sandee Ogden sorry you’ve got your facts a little wrong. They didn’t play Somebody to love at Wembley. Montreal is the best version in my opinion, but there a lot of fans for The Bowl version as well. Mother Love was Freddie’s last recording. Fabulous! You've probably heard this song from the movies Wayne's World or Suicide Squad. The members of Queen are Freddie Mercury (black hair)-lead singer and pianist, Brian May (dark curly hair)-Lead Guitarist and backing vocals, Roger Taylor (long blond hair)-drummer and backing vocals, John Deacon (dark straight hair)-bassist.The best part of Queen is they don't have just one genre, they don't mean one thing: they still are limitless, timeless, cross genres and even now their music is a breath of air because of their pure genius talent. While their studio work is awesome, their live performances are EPIC if not magical! A testament to their pure, eternal talent! Also, in case your wondering, the band rarely if ever told people what their songs were about, they rather let the individuals interpret it for themselves. That being said, a popular interpretation of the "mama just killed a man" part of Bohemian Rhapsody is Freddie Mercury coming out as gay and that his old straight self is dead, thats just one of them. Whatever kinds of music you like, they will have done it. There are so many gems (hits and underrated) that by the time your done listening to all of them and the live renditions, you'll have so many favorite songs your heads will spin! The movie is fantastic, but its not totally reliable in facts. So to really get at the heart of Queen, and really know them, I would recommend the documentaries "the Days of our lives" kzbin.info/www/bejne/moSWh4SqbKuMfdU and Freddie Mercury: The untold story" kzbin.info/www/bejne/roLceX19nbCHga8 Enjoy the wild ride ahead!

Metaphor on killing a man, do either of you understand what that is. If you keep interrupting you miss out on the whole idea of how this is a rhapsody, which is a musicial piece that is several different moods that are connected by one basic idea. This has over a billion views, that alone should school both of you a bit on actually listening to the instrumentation and vocals because at over a billion listeners, there is definitely something to be learned here on a musical level. Your channel, your choice how to present it but honestly, you should stick to the type of music you like because you are obviously not ready for anything that stretches you outside of you music comfort bubble.
@Amicy4 жыл бұрын
@Sherry Actually we do like Queen, if we didn’t dig the music we would of said it sucked and moved on. Allen recommended we check it out because we heard it from bohemian rhapsody and loved Freddie Mercury’s voice. We heard a lot of his music from movies and wanted to hear him live. The metaphor of him killing a man was him killing off his old self and embracing who he was moving forward which was him coming out.
@sherryheim55044 жыл бұрын
@@Amicy That is possibly the metaphor and what many choose to read into it, but Freddie never said and he also said many times that he never analyzes his music nor does he try to find a meaning or hidden meaning in it. He said that "like any poet would tell you, if you see something there, then it is there." He left the interpetation up to the listener. He said that he wrote around 12 songs a day so there is that part too and that lyrics were the hardest part for him so he left it until last and also that he used words that he liked the sound of. None of us will ever know the true meaning of this song or any other of Freddie's songs. The other band members often have stories about what their songs are about but Freddie chose to leave that up to the listener.

Sherry Heim why did Adam Lambert joinh the rest of the band and not Marc Martel?
@sherryheim55044 жыл бұрын
@@Amicy I think that Roger and Brian like the versitility that Lambert brings to the group but I honestly couldn't say. It has been hard for me to make the transition to QUEEN without Freddie Mercury but I have so much respect for Roger's and Brian's musical talent that I am slowly getting into it a bit. Lambert approached his place in the band from a very good position which was that he was not going to try to "replace" Freddie or "Mimic" Freddie, he was just going to do the performances in a way that is worthy of the band. Roger and Brian are both in their 70s and though they both say that music will always be part of their life, I would think that they will be slowing down on the touring and such and at that point, Lambert will have gotten enough exposure that he will be able to pick where and what he wants to do in music. Queen is a business between four people, Freddie, Brian, John and Roger so everyone else is just a paid employee of the band, including Lambert. But QUEEN is a great place for Lambert to showcase his abilities since QUEEN is always exploring and producing new things which will keep him current and cutting edge.

If this is your 1st time listening, as you stated in a reply to a comment made earlier, to take it all in You certainly did enough Joking around that I don't see how you could take it all in. Dele, Heyy we are originally from Haiti, currently living in North Carolina. our accent is a mixture of the Carolinians and Haiti!!! it's been a learning curve and improvement with each video that are put together, from better visual to audio!! as far respect towards different artist, even though we don't know every artist in the game current or past, we make it a point to go into every song or video with a mindset that this individual will blow us away. In the case of Queen, that definitely was!!!
