Can somebody explain why the Amlogic s905x and s912 are considered 64 bit but only will let 32 bit applications installed? Arm7a support vs Arm8a?

In general... This is a much better choice, using a Octa-core 64bit ARM Cortex-A53 with Mali-T830 GPU with 4GB RAM Hopefully - Hardware is rarely a issue, it's when you plug it in and you find it has glitches all over the software so you wait for a update that never comes in most cases. I could never understand why anyone would ever use a Mali-T450 of any variety with a Cortex A53 other than getting over on the people that don't know any better when they used a Mali T764 with a 32bit Rock Chip 3288. Seems like the hardware is totally stable and marketing pressures the software hackers to rush it on the market and forget about the people that supported the companies by purchasing their devices. I don't want to mention names, but I'm sure they know who they are. After all I've purchased dozens of TV Boxes and Tablets and only a couple well known name brands update the original OS thru 10 updates, but almost never a upgrade to the next OS. It leaves me wondering if you want that you have to wait for a new build. I literally have dozens of devices that are still getting the bugs worked out of Jelly Bean 4.2.2 when Android N is in the builds and several dozen don't see a single update. So discouraging. Some of these devices are fairly expensive and I find myself erasing the OS and installing Kodi when I could have spent $15 on a Pine64 or similar.

allwinner is one of them for sure. they're so concerned with keeping control over their users hardware (leaving rootkits at times) and not having their technology "stolen" (which was found to be just open source libraries clobbered together and obfuscated) they leave users vulnerable and frustrated

actually it all depends on who u buy it from..for my case..the support is always there to help me if i face any issue

Roku & Amazon better get their shit together. 912 looks like it'll do some damage.

Wish I could understand half of what he said. It's one thing for being a non-native English speaker, but totally another for speaking way too fast

Boon Heng Ong so the world split to native and non-native? so I wonder what are Indians ?

That was not what I meant, DD Wave. I was merely saying that this guy talked too fast, possibly thinking that he wanted to be thought of having a good understanding of speaking English. Personally, I had too much trouble trying to decipher what he was saying. Btw, nothing wrong with being a non-native English speaker, and Indians generally speak good clear English for those who do and like most English-speaking Indians, I am multi-lingual.

I understood him fine, even with the Chinese accent. Then again, I tend to listen to most KZbin content at 200% speed because I can't stand how slowly most people speak. Seriously, either edit your video down to the highlights or talk faster. Ain't nobody got time for that!
