In this mission we plan our engagement to strike a ammunition depot. Discuss future plans and attacks and do a quick debrief using Tacview to end the Sortie! I hope you enjoy, and please leave your feedback in the comments below!

Being mostly an FA-18 ground pounder, it's fun to watch your mentality, and still go out of your comfort zone and get some CCIP in! As for some perspective on the 'campaign map', I think I'd get a bunch of F-16C's and FA-18's to get SEAD/DEAD on the first line of enemy AD, mostly around Minakh, heavily escorted by F-15C's. Then for subsequent waves, the Hornets can strike the infrastructure while AH-64's escort a ground push to get that first objective nailed down, again, BARCAP from F15s etc, while the F16C's continue whittling down SAMs on the next line of defense. As for the SA-11 threat circle on your SA page, AFAIK they stay visible even if they're killed that mission, though should be gone if you start the mission with it previously destroyed.

Great flyin' Jabbers. Love that F-16 canopy and cockpit. Beautiful bird.

I've been playing a bit of liberation, and in my experience you want a whole bunch of tanks. Things that can throw ATGMs are good too (ATGM stryker and m2 Bradely are my go-to's) but tanks are what can kill everything in front of them and push the frontline foward quickly. I generally set them to aggressive or breakthrough, but admittedly haven't experimented with exactly what the best movement options are.

I remember you mentioned you wished you could Declutter the HSD, if you're talking about the SAMs you can hit CTRL, then go to Page 2 and click SAM and that'll get rid of those SAM indicators, it helps clear up the HSD a ton.

I am really enjoying this series, its awesome! I like the face cam too. It actually helped me notice that my sensitivity is not high enough for my trackir and that I am turning my head too far. What do you use for zooming in? I bound Zoom View axis to my pinky scroll on my TWCS Throttle but it zooms out too far when trying to return to normal after zooming in. Its always an issue for me when trying to spot targets.
@Jabbers3 жыл бұрын
I use the friction knov on my warthog

I use TrackIR Z axis for zoom. I have the Z axis set up an pretty steep with a pretty steep curve. So when I move my head about an inch forward, my pilot moves forward in his seat about a foot. So moving my head forward just a couple inches gives me a really close up view of whatever controls I want to get a closer look at. For zooming in on stuff that’s outside of the cockpit, I have “Zoom In Slow” and “Zoom Out Slow” mapped to a 2-way hat on my flight stick. I can also use the zoom on my flight stick to get a closer look at things in the cockpit, but for me it’s more natural feeling just move my head a inch or 2 forward and let TrackIR do it’s thing.

Didn't expect another video so soon, it was great! Just a thought, wouldn't be better to manually arm the SEAD/DEAD flights with AGM-88C, instead of relying on Harriers with AGM-65? With that, you could leave the Harriers in a more of CAS role. But then again, great series, hope to see more soon!

Did you have any issues getting the files installed? On mine everything seems fine until I click “take off.” Then it says the .miz file doesn’t exist. I don’t know how to get it to work. I tried reinstalling Liberation. I tried manually creating the .miz file but it still doesn’t work.

The Problem in my Campaign (after watching Tacview) is that 90% of my Air loses are my AI Pilotes driving there Jets into the ground. I lose 2 to 5 Jetzt so every single Turn. Also long as ED is not doing anything about that stupid stupid AI, Libirarion is not Playebel...
@spudicous3 жыл бұрын
That's weird, I don't remember ever having an AI hit the ground undamaged. Most of my aircraft losses involve the AI being stupid in other ways such as flying slow at like 5000 feet in the middle of enemy territory or choosing to go cold on enemies that are right next to them, combined with their complete inability to fly at low level makes them pretty unreliable in situation where every loss matters.
